It is always possible for any antibiotic to cause a yeast infection, because they actually don't discriminate on the type of bacteria they kill, so they can eliminated good bacteria, as well as the bad. However, there is really no way to say, whether or not it will cause one to any given person, because everyone's body reacts differently to any given medication.

I've only had this happen once, from Penicillin, which I was taking for a dental infection, but to be honest, if I had to take it, again, I would more than likely purchase something such as Monistat, at the same time I picked up the Penicillin prescription and keep it on hand, just in case.

There are also some preventative measures you can try, to attempt to keep one from occurring. Such as making sure you eat yogurt, with live active cultures daily, while you are on the antibiotic and taking probiotic supplements.

You will also want to make sure that you drink plenty of water, as it helps flush out the body and maintain the proper PH balance. You can also avoid tub baths, especially with any kind of bath salts, oils or bubble bath products.
