Im on the 50 mg patches. But my dr. Knows it doesnt show up. Sounds like ur dr. Isn't that smart to release u for it not showing up

Will fentanyl come up on the sticks dhs uses.. I take morphine daily. Have prescription for it.. Sometimes my pain is bad n I will use fentanyl

My doctor at the methadone clinic told me that the fentanyl test is very new so they are unsure yet of the accuracy and what can give false positives. However, if you say you didn't take fentanyl and it shows up in your urine screen, they can send your urine to an outside lab for proper testing and then you will get caught lying anyway so it isn't really worth it.

Oxycodone (the active ingredient in OxyContin) is metabolized into morphine by your liver, this is why it (or its further metabolites) are being detected.

This is completely wrong actually. Fentanyl isnt even a real opiate. It is considered synthetic meaning to test for it there has to be a completely designated test to detect it.

Just want to add this since there is a lot of contradicting information on the internet. Fentanyl will 100% not show up in a 10 panel lab test, and it won't even show up in an expanded opioid test. It has to be tested for specifically. Just passed a 10 panel yesterday while wearing the patch. Anyone who tells you it will show up doesn't know what they're talking about, period. If you want further comfort, look on the website of the company that will be doing your urinalysis. They'll have on there what they test for. And in my case, the test was through Quest. It specifically says dilaudid and fentanyl will not even show up on their expanded opioid test. It. Will. Not. Show. Up. Unless. A. Specific. Test. Is. Ordered. For. It.

Does Fentanyl patch show up on a urine test as the same thing that Morphine does. I know the patch is morphine synthetic I think not sure completely, that's why I was asking

Fentanyl does show up in the test!!! I know because I got busted for it because I thought it wouldn't show up after reading about it on here! IT DOES SHOW UP!!!

The fentanyl has to soak into the fat cells underneath the patch and then it can be circulated via blood. I've been on patches for years and it takes about 2 hrs before you feel anything at all and 4-6 hrs after application before the levels in your blood match the mcg on the patch. Know this is a late answer but posted it for others with the same question.
