JR--I'm so sorry that your brother and mother had to suffer through that doctors terrible bedside behavior and you are absolutely correct there is absolutely no reason for a doctor to treat a long term (drug test approved) patient and mother the way this one did. That is absolutely uncalled for and I'd report him to the medical board. I did want to mention that my disabled husband was put on the fentanyl patch, he initially went to appointment alone however he was having the exact problem, coming home saying that the CRNP (Nurse Practitioner) you never saw an MD unless you had a procedure, kept saying your patches are not showing in your drug screen and neither are your oral pills. I kept saying I don't know what the heck she is testing but you take oral pills correctly and I change patches as directed. So I took a sharpie started writing the date on the patch before placing on his body every 48-72 hours and I left ALL those suckers, every patch on him for the appointment so I was ready for her. I also then pointed out----my husband is an insulin dependent Type 1 Brittle Diabetic on the insulin pump, his liver has damage, his pancreas has damage so I can tell you without a doubt that you will likely not ever have his true controlled substance intact resulting on those $40 urine drug test, but if they insisted that they needed to ensure he was using them and not selling them I'd be glad to keep dating them and video recording every exchange plus bring her every patch he used and then she could have those tested for his DNA all over the adhesive side for her proof.....needless to say we did not have any further issues. I did have to get them changed because he is not very mobile so they caused sores. It's pricey but Nucynta extended release with breakthrough orals works a hell of a lot better so if you can afford them and doc will prescribe that's also an option. I'm firm believer that with your brother being such an exceptional person, that it is most likely giving faults readings due to his liver functions or metabolism. Hi JR.
Ask ur doctor to make sure the UA test being used. Is able to test for super SMALL amounts of medication.
These test r able to read below a certain point.
They measure by NU or ngs. Some word like that.
No I don't mean MGs. ( milligrams either).
I can't think of the letters used for reading UAs.
So I'll give this example.
say the test only goes as low as 10ngs and he's exscreting 8 ngs in his urine. It won't show up.
The drs need to be very clear in understanding how and what these drugs can read in comparison to what a person is taking.
What your brother is taking is a really low dose.
That test the dr uses may not be able to read that low.
Also if he has hepc, not only his liver but his kidneys may it be functioning as they should either.

No it does not. Morphine is morphine oxy cotton is oxy cotton shows up as an opioid or oxy cotton. Herion breaks down to morphine. Not oxy

I went to the dr and was tested with the dipstick in a cup , it came back positive for amphetamines? Never in my life have i used that or any form of speed! About 2 months later the same thing happened to a friend at the ER! Found out later it was faulty cups! Always insist on the lab my friends !

I take Suboxone, and I am being tested weekly for any type of narcotics in my system. Or Suboxone show up as an opiate in my system if I continue take it? And also I have taken Fentanyl patches and I also take the Suboxone 8 mg sublingual strips, and I want to know by taking the Suboxone with the apartment and it doesn't block the fentanyl?
And my last question is are Suboxone and Vyvance considered a narcotic? And while I'm asking what about fentanyl?

My husband twice now has tested and they found morphine in his urine. They keep switching the brand of patch on him. But he only does the fentanyl patch. Hydros.

to pass a urine screening where all i can have in my urine is fentanyl using "fake" piss… can i simply place a small amount of the patch in the fake piss and it show up as fentanyl…? or does it need to metabolize? please help

No morphine is semi-synthetic meaning chemists use raw material (poppy) to produce morphine..Fentanyl is a fully synthetic non raw materials..all man made..and 100 times stronger than street grade heroin per mcg..some strong scary s***..if abused good luck surviving.

No it does not show as morphine and I don't know how they find but they do and if your not prescribed fentanyl, you can be cut off right away. One may ask I do you know. Let me tell they found it in my. They well find in your urine test
