Why Are They Now (endo) Not Wanting Generic Opana Approved When They Let It Get Approved Last Year?

I don't understand how Endo can file for the old opana not to be made when they didn't fight it last year when Watson received approval. Why didn't they say something about it then? I have read so many things about this for a year now. How can they try to make sure no one else makes money off of it. Things I have read sounds like they are trying to make as much money as they can from opana. If no one else sells it they will make all the money. Everyone is correct. The people who are the druggies will find away to break it down or they will use street drugs. You wait and see. Someone will come up with a new street drug and the people who abuse medicines will buy the street drugs because it will be cheaper or they will just take a hand full of pills for their habit. Pills don't have to be abuse resistant for them. I have read about the patients who have been in awlful acciends from cars, motorcycles, horses, work etc.They have real pain and they need to be able to take what helps them. As it is the doctors eep their eye on you, make you sign contracts, make you come in every month and take a drug test. We go through enough. You shouldn't have to lay at home in pain. People who don't have the chronic pain are the ones who make the rules. That isn't right. People rely on their doctors but FDA and DEA and companies who make the money make the rules. Its just like why do movie stars, rock stars, sports make so much money but the teachers and police and our military etc.don't make nothing. What is wrong with people?

The irony is the drug addicts found many ways to defeat the tamper resistant mechanism in the first week it was released. Never underestimate drug addicts. They are desperate and patient. Plus, many of them had time to practice abusing tamper resistant medicines with oxycontin.

I have to believe this all boils down to money and profits. The scientists at these pharmaceutical companies have to know their products are not 100% foolproof or abuse proof. One search of google will yield hundreds of recipes for breaking these "indestructible," pills.

Nobody will be on Opana or the generic form anymore. The reason is the risks outweigh the benefits because of the growing number of addicts abusing it. My pain clinic showed me the letter. They are pulling Opana off the market. No generic form either. I was on Opana for years and believe me this really affected me. I'm on Morphine now. Works okay but not as well as the Opana did. Hope this helps.
