You know it's funny for some reason even my self knowing this i think the taste is orangy as people say and i can't stand it chemical oranges, but the funny part is now this is going to screw with you, the actual Flavoring to them IS LEMON LIME, read the plamplet that comes with the script. I know i thought it was crazy but i think it's because they are orange, Buprenorphine has that taste to it so LEMMON LIME doesn't actually mask it, so really it just taste like chemical and seeing the orange gives us the thought of orange but its actually not. Funny how mind can act over the body.,,

They are both BUPE, subutex just doesnt have nalaxone, which is basically in there for i guess to be passed as a schedual 3 rather than according to pharm and whatever bulls*** organizations do this and basically it's the nalaxone or also known as NARCAN, gives you that headache, but then again some people get it regaurdless. Now it is true if you were to take a said opi" drug if you're not seriously taking recovery seriously and AFTER full effects of bupe is in full effect i honestly wouldnt recomend it for atleast 6 hours because Precipitated withdrawl is worse than normal withdrawls. just trying to tell you from personal experience before i got right, it's unbearible and i thought regular H IV wd's were unbearible but precipitated way worse. Be safe.

These new subs are great. I just got one thinking it was a subutex. Looked it up to find out its a sub. I was pissed until it kicked in. Way better than the orange subs. Just let dissolve under tongue, wait 30/40 mins. GREAT... I HAVE one question to one of the responders. What the hell is blowing it?

It's all in ur head... They have the same active ingredients... Suboxone and the generics last for a longer period of time than subutex as well. Also The orange stop signs are lemon lime flavored and not orange. Ur brain just tells u they are orange flavored because your eyes see the color orange.

Nobody in my area can get the pill form of SUBOXONE (rarely) and the subutex are even more rare so i wonder if i will get the new generic pill form when i go Monday? The docs always seem to indicate FILM on the scripts and the pharmacy can't alter from that can they? Just throwing that out there ... All pretty much the same to me and only take a wee piece when i have to.. But have heard EVERY argument out there about what they take and how they take it and what they feel etc. etc... and i just think that everybody's chemistry is different and what may work for some won't for others and vice-versa... But that's pretty much the case with every med ever made really!!! Just wish everybody the BEST and hope u get what u need to be well AND happy!!!! Just Don't go back down that ugly path subs have led u away from .. Will never be worth it and u know that!!!!

I am having to pay 20 dollars each for the strips and now the ones with 155 on them. I only take a half a day and thats plenty for me, but still with no health insurance and on unemployment it's hard. Years ago I went to the methadone clinic but thats so much trouble everyday and they almost insist that you get up to at least 100 mg a day. They turn you into a bigger addict than when you came in. I would love to get on a program thru a doctor but lets face it their is no help out there for me. PLEASE if anyone has any advice please share it.

It always amuses me when junkies, like myself, start going off about generics and how weak they are compared to the name brand drug. It's mind over matter, folks. The same active ingredients are in there, whether you get these or the name-brand, hexagonal, orange tablets/strips.
I know as addicts we are very picky when it comes to our dope. We also don't like change when it comes to our dope. However, a little common sense goes long way in this area.

Generic drugs approved by the FDA can be +/- 30% of the brand name ones.....I agree it's a lot of mind-over-matter but with generics u just never know!!!!
