I took half a strip of suboxone on friday and I have to take a drug test soon. What is the best way to get it out of my system?

I wish my initial post would show up, as it might have some info that will be helpful for the thread starter's concerns, and time might be an issue. If my language was too controversial or contained slang words not allowed on this site, I don't mind it being edited as long as the basic information that was presented, isn't changed.

Generally, I would say no, they don't. It is wrong to say they never do, however. If testing for a job, call ahead and ask to speak with somebody who knows about the test, and ask whomever knows, how many panels the test includes, and who makes it, if they know (then you can look up on the internet for more info). Borrow a cell phone and pretend to be somebody else if you don't want red flags on your name/application, and claim you are curious because of medications you take for an unusual medical condition (that you'd rather not discuss if they get nosy). I got lucky, and found the package for the test a particular place used, while using the restroom on the day I went in for an app, so I looked it up on the Internet. Anyway, odds are, it will be a 6 panel.. less chance for a 10 (and if I'm not mistaken, many 10 panels also do not include buprenorphine), and less chance it is a 12 panel unless its a sensitive position for whatever reason, perhaps security-wise.

Most places do not test with more than 6 panels, particularly employers testing for pre-employment or random employee testing. The reason for this is simple economics. A box full of 6 panel tests covers the basic drugs of abuse, and buprenorphine is rarely abused (relatively speaking), so most places buy tests without the extra buprenorphine included. Most people using buprenorphine are in a recovery program anyhow. Relatively speaking, buprenorphine is not prescribed for pain all that often, nor is suboxone a popular recreational drug.

To JACK BOEXE~Are u a lunatic or what dude??!! There's NO WAY to test for suboxone?? SERIOUSLY? Please DO TELL how u came to that conclusion?? i know for a FACT that it is detectable in a drug screen..although those tests are VERY expensive and some companies opt not to use it for that reason..but it is a NARCOTIC~how could it not be(in ur mind that is)detectable?!

If you ever have to test again and you're dirty, check out the tips I posted [as an aside, thanks to the moderators, deciding to approve "post #19". Sorry if it contained language that is questionably appropriate for this board].

"PLAN B" is probably the most fool-proof for passing when "dirty", that is, if the observation environment is favorable, when giving a sample. If somebody can't obtain urine through somebody considered trustworthy in their social network-- urine they can be 100% certain is clean, than its also possible to buy dehydrated, drug-free urine on the Internet. No s*** hey? What a messed up world.

Unless he is trolling, I think Jack is just a tad hard-headed. It seems to me that he has to realize by now that his previous statement was wrong.

Everybody following the debate knows his statement was wrong, including jack. Man-up Jack- you made a mistake.... it is a senseless waste of time arguing about it, everybody makes mistakes sometimes. There's tons of websites with bulls*** information too (or ways of misinterpreting what the info meant), and maybe you found one, when searching about drug tests and buprenorphine/suboxone.

Always check numerous sources online, when fact-checking with the Internet.

Hi honestly don't kno what the best way is to get it out of your system. The more time between when you took the half strip, and test day, the better your chances.

finally, your company might not even test for it test for. You might want to check with innocent sounding question, like"i am really excited about the opportunity to work at your company, and don't want anything to go wrong, like a false positive from interacting of a medication or herb. Could you tell me name of company who makes - or made - the test, and which one they use 6, 20, 99 panel, etc). If come right out and they say "its a 6 panel made my blah blah diagnostic medical supplies", you're probably good to go.

Suboxone does not show on MOST drug tests. It is not common to test for, due to the fact it is used to get OFF of drugs. Suboxone however, can be tested for... the only thing is that its very unlikely to show up on any ten panel drug test. The only way suboxone will show up is if it is tested for specifically... which in this case... i highly doubt it would. Hope everything worked out... best of luck

Yes there is a test for suboxone. A friend of mine just was positive for it and she gave them a urine clean for everything except suboxone !!!!

There is def a test for suboxone out on the market in a 12 panel test I've taken them many times for probation department of my county and also in a hospital an failed a few as well lol. And make sure to be careful drinking large amounts of water the day of your drug screening because almost all 10 panel drug tests now test the creatinin levels in your urine as well as temps and will show up as a diluted test which all employers consider a failed test!!!!!! I personally would say make sure not to use suboxone no later than at least three days before a upcoming drug screen possibly more for anyone weighing over 160 pounds.

subs are detectible and it is not on a panel drug screen, my brother is on house arrest and has to take a piss test for subs every week and they use a specific drug screen for it. they also have specific drug screens for synthetics as well. if you want your proof on that call ACC home electronic monitoring, grundy va. and they will tell you themselves, my brother pays 35 dollars a week for drug testing and 350 a month to stay outta jail. so check up on your s*** bro

hey guys I just wanna say TIME is the only way, im in the process of being sent to Chattanooga TN to a rehab facility for failing for BUP, it sucks trust me stay away for 2 weeks and drink alcohol, it sucks but you will make it. DONT DO DRUGS!!!!!

I had taken I do believe it was two subs and I don't think that I had drank enough water because 6 days later I still failed for it. Whats crazy is that probation officers have a cup that has I believe every drug there is on it. I am praying that She don't make me pee the next time I have to go see her on MONDAY. Im really scared sayin my prayers. I went to get cranberry vitamnins today and they were having some kind of trouble with a check with the guy in front of me in line. I do the subs when ever I get an urge to use herion, but I still realize that I am making a poor choice knowing the consequences. I have an 8 yr old boy that I raised on my own. since he was born. I attend a drug and acohol program 3 days a week and am supposed to go to 2 meetings a week. Although my son has no knowledge at all of what I do, It still effects him in so many ways. Its been hard for mem to keep a stable place and he often has to change schools, which means he has to make friends all over again. Our financial situation sucks. All though he has everything materialistic that he needs and wants and I show him lots of Love and affection I realize that he needs that stability in his life. Soberiety has been a struggle for me for the last * yrs and even more the last 3, but from this day forward I am making a pledge to myself that I will not make him go through this sh88 any more. My addiction has taken control of my life and I feel like I'm fighting a loosing battle. I have 2.5 yrs left of college to get my batcholers in business management, I lost my liscense for 4 yrs because I let them expire and again my addiction kept me from even caring, but now I have my temps and am playin hell tryin to find someone to let me use their car to take my drivers test. I finally got offered a job in construction which is awesome. Any ways I realize that switching to and illegally using saxoxone is going to keep me walking around nervous and scared to get into trouble and loose everything that I've been working so hard to get back. MY BEST ADVICE IS TO JUST NOT USE. BELIEVE ME I KNOW ITS NOT EASY. I'm trying to find a sponsor and sober friends. We all need them. I've done it once and relapsed, but if you work the program and really want to be sober, the program will work for you. SORRY THIS WAS SO LONG BUT ALONG WITH AN ANSWER I THOUGHT THAT SOME ONE WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS WOULD LIKE TO HEAR MY STORY. I took six suboxone strips over a two week period. eleven days later I am still testing positive for bup. I actually called the manufacturer and they told me it should only stay in seven days for a urine test. Goes to show everyone is different.

I came across many findings on the drug testing of Buprenorphine. Erowid says it stays in ur system for 2 to 4 days check out:

They do have really cheap urine tests that u can find online to test urself to see where ur at before you have to take a urine screen.

In my opinion ...Flushing ur system out with detox and tons of water is still unknown for Buprenorphine with my experience with drug tests cuz i never tried it yet for this particular substance but with any detox...drink tons of water...ur body weight in oz plus 50 every 24 hours before u drink ur detox. After u drink the detox piss once or twice. Once ur piss is a neon green/yellowish color u'll usually pass as long as u gave urself 48 of countless water ingestion, and as long as u didnt smoke cannabis.
And if ur really worried and ur not taking a supervised urine screen and ur urine sample has to be clean for every drug...u can always use a 2 oz bottle of someones clean piss with a fish tank thermometer taped to it and some glove warmers to keep the urine warm but be careful. Always check the thermometer so it doesn't get to warm. Ur read out of the cup ur giving ur nurse or P.O. should read 92F to 94F. U lose some tempurture from the piss leaving ur body and going into the cup.
