I AM AN 18 YEAR OLD FEMALE WHO WENT TO SEE THE DOCTOR DUE TO PAINS IN THE LOWER ABDOMEN.I WAS GIVEN DOXYTET (GREEN CAPSULE),FEXIME 400mg AND BIO-METRONIDAZOLE 200.WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM AND HOW WILL THESE MEDICATION HELP?

same medication has been given to me, well i have pains in the epidermis specially when ejaculating the pain is on and off...should i be worried or not, nothing of this sort can be related to cancerous tumors or what not right

abel - if you were prescribed the Doxytet which is an antibiotic then your pain sounds like it is most likely due to an infection of some sort. Is that what your doctor said was the reason you are prescribed this drug?

I had my period 3 months ago, I tested 3 pregnancy test and it came back negative. I went to my local clinic and they also did a pregnancy test. It was also negative, but they picked up that I had a infection UTI. I received medication for the infection, but I'm scared I could be pregnant even if the tests were all negative. Is it possible for me to pregnant and can I continue to drink the following medication? DOXYTET AND METRONIDAZOLE

Gloria the Metronidazole is basically safer than the Doxytet (Metro is in pregnancy category B, Doxy in category D), so if you do think you are pregnant be sure to work with your doctor so that they can asses the risks and ensure that the benefits outweigh them. Hope you feel better soon!
