What Is Comparible To Oxycodone

I am searching for a comparible drug to the Oxycodone? Due to national shortage I cannot get the Oxycodone. But I need something to replace it without Tylenol.

I'm not sure how comparable these two drugs are to Oxycodone, as I have never taken them. But to help answer your question, Dilaudid (hydromorphone) as well as Demerol (meperidine) are also narcotic pain relievers used to treat moderate to severe pain.

There are other options, but it may be difficult to locate any of them in stock in a pharmacy.

However, a couple you can discuss with your doctor would be Dilaudid and Morphine.

Both are narcotic opiates, so they have the potential to be habit forming and can cause side effects similar to the Oxycodone, which may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

The dosage would need to be adjusted to be equivalent to your current analgesic effect, but your doctor should know how to do that.
