My adult daughter has bronchitis very bad and I have these Clindamycin 300 mg. that my Dr. took me off and gave me a different one,just wondering if these would Help here.

Thanks A Million, I had only used 1 and it really made me sick, but, I had already been taking another antibiotic., So my Dr. Said to stay on the ones I was taking .... So I think she'll be O K.She can't get in to her Dr. No $and they won't call any in.

I assume you mean diverticulitis because diverticulosis is not an infection.
Clindamycin hits gram positives and anaerobes. It spares gram negatives and spares clostridium. Diverticulitis is normally treated with coverage for gram negatives and anaerobes. Clindamycin has the wrong spectrum plus can trigger a C. Difficile bowel infection which can be serious.
So it would be rare to use clinda at all for diverticulitis and even rarer to use it alone without any gram negative coverage.
