What Does Concerta Show Up As On A Drug Test (Page 2)

I take Concerta 36mg daily, for ADHD, and am subject to random drug tests. I have heard that Concerta will show up as Methamphetamine on a urine test. Is this true?

If they send the test to a lab which is most likely the case to ensure the amphetamine pop was from your prescription, they will know 100% that it was legitimately failed on account of amphetamine use

Omg. You sound A LOT like my lil bro in law Earnie, because I believe he's got a perscription to concerta and he asks the same questions as you do lol. But I think concerta is the same thing as rids. Just time released and better to just eat.

My son takes concerta and I take adderal. One was taken and has to take a UA test will they show up as the the same as they are both stimulants. I know that adderal shows up as anphetamines. Will the concerta show up as a different chemical? Please help be he has to take the UA test tomorrow and has taken the. Both today.
The concerta is 56 mils. And is time released. The adderal is 20 mg. Is there a difference between them on the UA test?

I went to a new pain management doctor they took a urine test and I had just been in the hospital for three days before and methadone showed up in my urine and my pain medication was withheld for a for 4 days this has got to be a better way to do this! When is the medical community going to recognize that Concerta and other medications are absolutely needed and should not be treated Like a criminal!

I just went through heck getting my refill because after 3 years she decided to do a random drug screen (I can't remember which panel) but it did not show as anything so she thought I was selling them. My other doctor had the lab retest my urine screen which they had taken last month because the lab holds the urine for some time just in case a retest is needed...I saw her on the 9th. I was going to run out on the 11th, and they gave me a hassle thinking I was lying in the end. They got my test results that show I had methylphenidate in my urine. It will not show as anything on a instant cup unless it is is a methylphenidate specific test. The prescriber did not know what she was doing and I just found out she filled it today. P.S. I did withdraw.

I take prescription methylphenidate ER, three 20mg caps every morning for ADHD. Took a urine pre employment drug screen at 4 pm on Friday at Quest lab. They would not take any information regarding my prescriptions. I was told by the tech that if my specimen showed up positive, I would get a call so that I could give them my prescription information. I never got a call from them. Today (Tuesday) I was offered the job and was told that I passed both my background check and my drug screen.

I am a 51-year-old female. I have been taking Concerta for 11 or 12 years (two 36mg each morning). I have been employed by a major airline for 28 years. We are often randomly drug tested by the airline and FAA. I have NEVER failed a drug test. I have never used illegal drugs or abused alcohol. My record is boringly consistent.

My doctor has started giving a 10-panel urine test to test for compliance. My results are negative. They were negative three months ago too. I’m being accused of non-compliance and they are refusing to fill my Rx. I faithfully take my medication as prescribed. I haven’t done anything wrong yet I’m being treated as a criminal.

My 20-year-old son has been taking the same dosage for the same length of time. He switched from his childhood pediatrician (because of age) to a doctor in the same clinic that I go to. My son lives at home and I watch him take his medication. His urine screen comes up negative too. We have taken him into the doctor's office, had him take his Concerta as they watched, waited 60 min, then taken a urine tox screen. His results are negative.

We both are being accused of the same thing.

Has anyone else had this issue? We are both taking our medication daily. What is happening? It’s distressing to be falsely accused AND denied medication that we both desperately need.
