Baralgin contains the active ingredient Metamizole, this is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, which means it can treat pain, swelling and fever.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and stomach irritation.

Colace contains the active ingredient Docusate Sodium, thus it works as a stool softener and helps treat constipation.

There are, however, not a lot of other medical uses for it.

Side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, abdominal pain and cramping.
