Weight Loss After Taking Lipitor

I have stopped taking Lipitor because of a few side effect problems (such as muscle pain). I have also been dieting to lose weight for the past year. Since I stopped the Lipitor my rate of weight loss has increased, from about 1 pound per week to 2-3 pounds per week. I am dieting by limiting calories and consuming low fat/high protein foods. Has anyone heard of this regading Lipitor?

I took lipitor for 10 days and had severe muscle cramps..I stop taking it and am feeling alot better..The doc says very few ppl have severe side affects to this drug...

I stopped taking because of severe pain but started again after a few days in the hospital . No problems this time except I couldn't figure out why I couldn't lose wt. so that mystery is solved, terrific.

I had lost 60 lbs. and stalled completely when my doc put me on lipitor -- had HORRID PAIN (could NOT exercise at all) for 6 mos.... ended up in the emergency... then went to my rhumatologist with my fibromyagia. He showed me that ALL the symptoms I had been complaining to my G.P. about ( sleeplessness, PAIN, itching, itching itching, memory problems, dizziness, even Lupus symptoms) could be side effects of the Lipitor. He took me OFF the Lipitor IMMEDIATELY !!! BEWARE
