It was two different pharmacies. Walgreens in my area all carry Watson. I had to use CVS today. My Watson script paper always said: "INS: $262.68. PAY: $3.65". For this Endocet script from CVS it says: "INS: $74.69. PAY: $3.65". For the same exact # of pills, from the same exact doctor.

Underneath the name, it says "ENDO GEN PROD". Then underneath it says: brand names: Percocet, Tylox." So my pharmacy must have it listed as a generic. The medical assistant at my doctor's office told me it was a generic. They said that if this medication ends up not working like my normal script does, that I can bring the bottle to their office, & they will destroy the pills & give me a new script. That my insurance should cover it, because it's a different medication, that I only got because my normal was unavailable, & that it isn't working like my normal one. I hope so, because I can't afford the normal price of my Watson script.

I've found the white, round Watson pills work better than any other pills I've ever taken. I've been offered stronger drugs, in other forms, like continuous release pills or patches for the skin, but I always refused, because the Watson pills worked so well. I've been on the same exact dosage for over a year now, & it still works just as good as it did back when I switched to it.

This is only the first day of trying the Endocet, but it's not working very well at all so far. I don't have hardware pain (from the rods & screws in my lumbar spine) at the present minute, but my thoracic pain is worse today than it's been in years. The only thing I can think of that's changed is my medication.

I can't imagine why the Endocet was so cheap, compared to my Watson script. I don't know how my pharmacy would have made a mistake, because they don't hand write these things. It's all computerized, printed out.

Glitter, FYI, Endocet Is Name Brand Percocet, hands down the exact same drug ! I think your pharmacy made a mistake, because Endocet is one of the most expensive generics on the market - I've been taking it for over 11 years, it is more effective than Watson brand, or any other for that matter. (More to come),.....

I have taken Watson 932 for YEARS now, & never had a problem. But today, my pharmacy was completely out of them. They called the other Walgreens stores in the area, & they were also out! First time this has EVER happened to me, in all the years I've been on pain medication. I had back surgeries in the past, & still have a lot of spinal issues, from sciatica, to bone spurs, to degenerative disc disease, to herniations, to facet joint arthritis.... Legitimate need for medications. I take AS DIRECTED, & NEVER get "high". I do not support recreational drug use.

However, today, I had to use CVS. They gave me Endocet. Yellow oblong-ish pills. I didn't think TOO much of it, until I looked at the packaging. My Watson script is normally $262.00 that my insurance pays. This Endocet only cost my insurance $74!!!! I am scared that it means the Endocet is crap, & that I'm going to spend the next 4 weeks in pain ): That my holiday season is going to spent unable to get out of bed ):

If Endocet is supposedly the best generic, why is it the cheapest?

I haven't been on here in a while because I have one local mom and pop Rx that survived this shirade of Endocet extractions due to lack of making money off that specific med. I also know just where to go for Watson 932 for less a price than Walmart but Endocet is my Rx of choice. My doctor simply writes Percocet 10/325 that way I can get whatever substitute I want. Until today I was in so much pain I sent my mom to my regular Pharmacy with the Endocet bottle so that they do not give me the Mallinkrot that they also have. She gets back with 93 Alvo gen pills! Broke my f's heart. I quickly phoned the Rx and they tells me that they just no longer carry neither Endocet nor Mallinkrot. And also that I could not bring medication back that doesn't have a seal! I demanded them to just give me back my script in exchange for this garbage because I could at least go get the Watson 932 for a month now I'm stuck with these b******!!!!!! I told the pharmacist after 20 odd years it's a shame that our relationship would have to come to a halt because of this s***ty medication. I was spending hundreds on mess per month there. His lost not mine. Guess I'll just have to tough out a month of this worthless Alvogen 230 garbage bulls*** and always handle my own pill supply reup. S***s a damn shame! Nobody else doesn't care or know what we go thru with these D grade meds. One mistake costs us the patient a whole month of pure hell! Whoever created these F's pills should be gutted while still alive and handed their own heart. This s*** is all about the profits their making off this commercial phoney not one positive patient approval rating from this waste! Like I said Mallinkrot, Amneal, & Watson make a better product. Complete fail!!!! If Endocet is finally off the market then it's Watson 932 for me.

They are, but I got my RX filled the other day as I request endocet & it's never been a problem but on this refill the owner of the pharmacy was like well I'm loosing money ( let's not me tell her I have passed out hundreds of flyers for them & hundreds of business cards at my orthodox & pain management & physical therapy place ) but she claimed I'm loosing money 25$ & I can't do that not even for you & having all you have done for us & the fact I give her all my business & get all my scripts filled their, she was like tell me where you got them before for my price I give you, NOT! anyways, it's all about money & what's strange is she said this many months ago, but only this past week says that I will have to pay her 30$ more in future to get the endocet. What a crock of s***, but he could give me the cheap Amneal brand, which is blah & they know that for the same $$$ as the endocet. I would take my script elsewhere & get the Watson Marked ones but as another Person wrote & it is very true, ACTAVIS makes & has bought out Watson & this is why so many stopped taking their hydrocodone which were great, they claim it's the same just w/ out the yellow dye, BULL S***! I'm a chronic pain sufferer & have a metal hip & a destroyed back & doctors want me on roxis but I don't wish to take that s***. Too addictive, I've seen good people go from normal & living their lives to trying every pharmacy in town each month to fill their script & when they finally get it filled they disappear off the earth for a month locked in their rooms on a drug induced comma, no pun intended. Sucks to go down that road, so I'm likely going to just pay the pharmacy the extra 30 bucks & stick w/ the endocet. They are a good pharmacy but being I've known them for so long & I have brought them sooo much business it bothers me a multiple million dollar making company is worries over loosing 25 dollars when they make mad money off my other mess & I buy other things from them too. Always have a back up pharmacy, just because you THINK your local mom & pop pharmacy like you & you have a good relationship w/ them trust me it's not AT ALL what it seems, rather they are worried not about all the business you bring them nor your loyalty to using them alone, BUT YOUR MONIES.. I was very upset, & thus why I know why my doctor tells me to have/pick two pharmacies & I wasn't about to give them the name, so everyone be careful, I wish I didn't have to take this stuff but w/ out it & my physical condition I would not be able to write this nor enjoy my time w/ my grandchildren & enjoy the little relief I do get from this Endocet. Some days are just so bad no medicine will work & I wish I did accept the roxis & others like today I'm ok, not ever pain free but a he'll of a lot better than stuck in bed wishing I were dead. I wish you all a better tomorrow & a pain free holiday. I'm grateful to be able to afford my meds, as I know that is a blessing within itself! Thanks & god bless!

Endocet is better. It is the equivalent of brand name Percocet and is produced by whatever company that is. The fails me at this moment but I've looked it up before because this is one of my prescriptions. For a period of time, it was almost impossible to get Endocet. It is now back. I took Watson's and found that though it relieved my pain, it made my hands shake and there were vague jittery sensations and some crankiness. I don't know how it will react with your body. Personally, if you are going to take this drug, why not take the real thing which is Endoce, the absolute generic equivalent of Percocet. If you find yourself on the 10/650mg, I recommend having a liver function analysis at least every other year. In large doses, it can hurt your liver. I only take two per day, but still have the liver function analysis. Hope this helps.

Endocet is better as it is the generic made by Percocet. Although some people like it, I have side effects of nervousness, shaking hands and grouchiness when taking Watson. Since I can't get any other brand any more in the 10/650, I guess it's Watsons or nothing in this strength. I think I am going to switch to the 10/325 if Endocet is still making this strength.

Endocet is the exact equivalent of Percocet as it is made by the same drug company and is their generic. It is much cheaper than brand but reacts exactly the same way. However, in my area, since the government intervened because of acetaminophen and possible liver damage, it is impossible to find the 10/650. The 10/650 was perfectly acceptable and I have no liver damage from using it so it must be only the ones that abuse the pill that have liver problems. I have been taking it for break-through pain (Pain a pain block and patch doesn't control.) for over 15 years for a permanent injury. I also have periodic blood work to ensure my liver is okay. So I have been taking Watson generic which makes me extremely nervous and cranky. Guess I will go to the Endocet 10/325 and hope it controls my pain.

Ladyjustice50, I hate to burst your bubble but today I filled my script at Walgreens and when I got home I found the Alvogen Oxycodone 10/325 brand in my sack. Beware and always ask, especially with Walgreens and CVS and Target. Their longevity and effectiveness is definitely noticeable.

Watson in my opinion is the best of the generics. Aftet a couple of years on pain meds. The WORST....alvogen...make sure you never go home w this brand. It will be a long month.

Go to Walgreens hun! They only carry Watson! <3 Hope this helps. That's where I go. I loved your Mailinkroft or whatever the spelling as a placebo! you better believe it!! I can only use Endocet as it works the best! but it's impossible to find. I'm calling Qualitist who makes them, to see where I can find them! That puts an end to that crap! But Watson is effective. It's as close as you'll get to an Endo. Hope this helps. I only use Walgreens now, until I find Endocet again. I will not put up with pharmacies increasing my pain by making a buck off of me. the hell with that. You can't treat people who are totally disable and bonafide handicap on disability like this. There are places somewhere that still carry it, and I'll keep you posted.

Psychological?? I'm totally in disagreement with you. First off, if you closed your eyes and switched different pills, you would NOTICE a difference. You're insulting many people and their pain by assuming this, especially since I've been on pain management over 10 yrs. I have 5 bulging discs with a herniated disc, fybromyalgia and herniated discs in my neck with stenosis all the way down. My c-1 thru c-5, and my L-1 thru L-7 and my S's are all bulging, and I have degenerating disc disease on top of my sciatic flair ups constantly. How can you say it's psychological? How can you possibly JUDGE all people without being a Dr or knowing them personally, or reading their MRI results? NOW Your passing JUDGEMENT. I don't think you'd want to be labeled or categorized like that either. Be VERY careful who you point a finger at and how you assume people feel. GOD...how terribly insulting you are!

bat - Endocet is back on the market, but the pharmacies don't want to order it because it has gotten more expensive, & insurance co.'s are still wanting to pay the old price ! My local CVS will order it for me, thank goodness, but my local Mom & Pop shop won't - they showed me on paper how they are losing $, because as it was they were only making $3.50 on my 90 day Rx as it was, now they would lose $50.00 if they filled it ! Not conducive to staying in business, is it? It took me 4 days of driving pharmacy to pharmacy before I found one the would order it 'Only' monthly for me - don't know what to do if they stop, or if there's another price increase !! This really bites the Big One !

Endocet is made by same company as Percocet. It is the same pill as Percocet and is, in my opinion, the best generic. However, I have had trouble getting the Endocet for the past three months. Was told by my pharmacist that it was on backorder and when it comes back on the market, it will be prohibitively expensive. I have had two different "generics" in this three-month period and have suffered many side effects. I am now taking a Watson 825 but it does not control my pain as effectively as Endocet or Percocet. Anyone else experiencing this problem. I am only allowed two per day for break-through pain and believe me, my pain clinic knows if I take more. I have to take in my prescription bottle and they count the pills I have left. Anyone know anything about when Endocet will be back on the market?

Medications are not like they use to be. All about making money. The consumer or in this case the patient is treated like a second class citizen. I remember when we used to go to the doctors office and it was ok to ask your Doctor about new meds on the market whether pain medications or say antibiotics. Now when you have pain because you had back surgery and you found out about a new pain med the Doctor or doctors become hestiant and wonder where you heard about these medications? Look Doctor they have medications in magazines, TV and even on drive by signs on the highways. Also presume we are all addicts. No due process funny. Anyway I been on some pain meds like Percocet 10/325 (Watson) and I never had problems because I followed the information the doctor gave me. The common phrase we see on the bottle is USE AS NEEDED. Some just forget about that part.

Jeremy, there's a new issue with Endocet now - had a script filled last week & my local 'Mom & Pop' pharmacy told me that the cost of this medication went up, significantly !. Instead of the usual $5.00 co-pay, they would have to charge me $50.00, as my insurance co. Would only pay $XX amount - seems they want the patient to use the less expensive generics. They showed me on paper, and they would actually lose $49.88 if they just accepted what the insurance paid - not fair to either the pharmacy or the patient !!. Yet back in Dec. 2012, what was paid was acceptable, and even then, the pharmacy was only making a profit of less than $4.00 ! Things are going 'to hell in a hand basket' !! Living on a disability retirement from 1992, don't know how much longer my checkbook can hold out - mail-order Rx is no better, as I've been told that they Cannot get Endocet, just whatever their contracts allow.
I so wish I never was injured, nor that I really need to take this crap - another hoop to jump thru !!

I've studied pain meds for years because of the personal need for them. Yes,absolutely Endocet works better than any other generic or even brand name Percocet for me. Pharmacy's only make if any $1 off of selling endocet some pharmacy's actually tell me they lose $ from selling it. Even though pharmacy's don't have it in they will order it for you if they know you'll be purchasing it from them every month. I've even gotten a large pharmacy such as CVS(the old longs) to Oder it for me and keep it aside for my monthly refills. For at least the last 2 months the Endocet supply has been very low which happens every time another genetic come out such as the new Percocet generic Alvogen. On line Canadian pharmacy's are safe and reliable. Dr's are now having patients go to them for less expensive meds. In Canada they have a cap on how much prescriptions can be charged. Hope this helps. Jereen
