Watson 500 Blue

Updated

The Watson White Generic Lortab 10-500 has been changed and they DO NOT work to relieve Pain thanks to our regulaters. I have taken the blue ones for years for chronic pain and I can say Diffinently they Do Not Work ! Go to Norco 10-525 and add childrens tylneol to get 500 mg acetiminifen and you will get the help the ue Watsons use to give. Just stop using the white ones so they will feel the decline in sales! Fact!

Watson was bought out by Actavis. I checked the website and the yellow Norco is also white. This new company has obviously changed the fillers/binders/diluents. The website does not say what "inactive" ingredients are in these new tablets either so that we can compare. They may even have the same ingredients, but a different manufacturing process using different salts. These are definitely different and for me, I'm allergic to the new ones. Great.

I cant take it. I am in more pain than ever! This is bullcrap! The Blue Watsons is what I was getting for 5 1/2 yrs. Now they say all they have changed is they just took out the blue dye! No way! It cant be true! I have noticed a huge difference! This is not right! DO they want us to be in more pain? or want us to have to take more?? I don't understand. And the pink ones and those other white ones with the "M and whatever #" Those are way worse! I don't care what anyone says..they suck, They don't help MY pain, that I know for a fact! What is going on??? I am going to discuss this with my pain specialist but idk if it will do any good. someone please tell me they are going to bring back the blue watsons :/

I am very sorry for everyone that is suffering due to the medication changes, this type of thing has happened more times than I can remember. It seems every time a formulation is changed, there are those that a medication no longer works for who end up miserable and it's very sad.

And I am making this post to let everyone know that all of these combination narcotic/Acetaminophen medications will be changing soon, thus anyone having a problem now will likely want to talk to their doctor about it to find an alternative that they can use.

The FDA has requested that all manufacturers lower the amount of Acetaminophen in them to a maximum of 325mgs, due to the risk of liver damage/failure that can occur with long-term use and the risk of overdose, since it can be toxic if people take too much of it in a day.

Some manufacturers have already begun to implement these changes and the rest are expected to have it done by January of 2014.

All they have done is punish everyone because of the abusers. I have been in chronic pain for years, cancer and many other operations, poisoned by Super Agent Orange in Vietnam 1968 in Marines now with only 1 kidney left and it is Stage 4 failure, from agent orange , drinking water from bomb craters w/dead bodies in it, eating garbage because we had no C-rations I am gonna have to go on Dialysis, but my Kidney Dr said if I cannot get out of pain with help of Meds I will not live! So thanks our wonderful gov'nt for killing me Twice! If you cannot move you cannot take dialysis. I hurt so bad Now I wish I wouldn't wake up. Now that's Sever Pain! Animals are treated better. I'm sick, betrayed,Always hurting, on top of that my 34 year old Son has Gov. Designed Lymes Disease that I am needed to be hear for him as he slowly melts away with that terrible disease that started on Plum Island Conn! Life Sucks and then you die! Sooo True!

Actavis also makes Oxycodone HCL 15 mg they Do help tremendously with pain and are clean BUT the abusers make these very hard to find. Sounds to me like some kind of trade off . Who knows. I think people who are not in chronic pain that make these decisions ought to experience a solid week 24/7 of real pain then make judgements!

Wow! I'm not sure where to start except to say I am experiencing the same thing with the new whie Watson Lortab! Anyone interested in a class action lawsuit? It's certainly worth a try! There are a lot of people having the same complaints! This "new" pill does not help my pain. The first time I took it after taking the blue ones it felt like some sort of antagonist! My body was battling the white pill with what I already had in my system. It has raised my blood pressure to the point I had to be prescribed more meds for that. I could go on and on with all the reactions I have had with this pill but I won't at the moment. I have changed to the quallitest brand which are the pink ones with a V. They help my pain but nothing seems to be as good as the blue watson was. Whatever they have done it has completely changed the active ingredient. It's a lie that they are doing this cuz of too much tylenol ...hello? Do they think we r complete idiots? They left the same amount of tylenol in it!! DUH!! I agree with anyone who says this has to do with our wonderful gov. wasting tax dollars again to try to control the abusers! Unfortunately it's affecting everyone! I would like to start a petition to present to an attorney. These people are messing with innocent lives and lying about it! My heart goes out to all of you that are suffering from this or whatever else. None of us deserve to suffer unnecessarilly! How cruel and inhuman to attack people that are already hurting physically and emotionally!! Someone should pay for this! Plz if you are interested leave a post here. I'm going to post an email address later tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for listening and again my sincerest apologies for all of you suffering.

I really don't quite know where to start!! I am very upset over these medication changes also! I have had the same reactions as everyone else stated plus more! The first time I took the white Watson 10/500 I had already been taking the blue ones for over 10 yrs and it felt like some sort of antagonist was added to the formula! I'm not saying that's what it is, but that's how it felt! My body immediately began "battling" the white vs. the blue! I could feel the white taking over, it raised my blood pressure to the point my Dr. had to increase my BP meds. It made one of my eyes go one direction and the other the opposite direction. It made my heart feel like it was pounding out of my chest. I could go on and on with all the horrible feelings I had that day! I am beside myself with stress over this. I am getting more and more depressed. I changed to the pink Qualitest brand and they seem to work better but according to Verwon these won't last either. Verwon has confirmed my worst fear!
I am very sorry to everyone suffering. This is horrible and inhuman! I would like to start a class action lawsuit! If there is one already I would like to be in on it. I know for a fact they have done something to this medication to cause it not to work the same. They are lying when they say they only took the dye out! Then there is the tylenol story...please! They say the gov. wants them to lower the tylenol levels in each pill??? Really? Do they think we are complete idiots? They left the full 500 mg of tylenol in the blue Lortab 10/500!! DUH! Are they going to change them again? I sure hope so! They are hurting innocent people. People that are already in pain. People that aren't abusing their meds! What in the world!?!?
If anyone is interested in this lawsuit please email me and let me know. I'm not sure yet how many people I will need but I have a strong feeling I will be able to get enough. My email address is:
{edited for privacy}
I am waiting to hear from anyone interested.
By the way...my heart goes out to everyone suffering emotionally and physically! You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

In reply to the reason being the lowering to 325 tylenol. I take the 10/325 and have for years. The new white pills I am taking are worthless, so I doubt that lowering to 325 tylenol is the problem.

Yes! Yes! Yes! I am having the same problems, I thought it was all in my mind!! I have also been taking the blue ones for 5 years. They are not working and they are making me nauseous, my blood pressure is elevated, and they leave a horrible after taste/cotton mouth! B.S. they did not change anything but the dye!! I also suddenly have strange leg pain in my lower calf that I never had beffore. My back and neck are killing me! I did say something to my Dr. but he ignored me as if he didn't hear me. I don't know what to do, this may be killing us. Either from a new added ingredient or a lack of whatever it is they took out! What can we do? Has anyone tryed contacting the company? I heard Watson was bought out by some Canadian comp.?

Call the FDA or go to their website to report adverse effects. I called Watson. They told me DEA made them change it. DEA says BS. I called them too. Everyone report these issues to FDA now!

Thank you, up a creek. I definitely will follow through to the FDA. Hopefully, we can get this resolved

After taking new white pills for two months, I had to stop cold turkey. I now have constant tingling in my arms and legs. Last two urine tests are showing high protein levels! I noticed a difference and now my body is suffering.

I have been on the blue watsons for 10 years. When they took out the blue dye I felt a big difference they don"t work. I then tried to take 10/325 because I was told they will be no longer making the 10/ 500. they have done more than take the dye out because I am in so much pain I can barely function. I would like to join any class action lawsuit. This is cruel. I just want to be able to work and make a living. Now I dont know how this will be possible with no relief. Please help.............Non functional.

Switch to Vicodin brand name. When Watson bought Activas, they substituted their Watson brand with the Activas made drugs and just stamped their name on it because Activas drugs are cheaper. Told this by a pharmacist who also said to try to insist on colored ones from Watson, because they are still out there. I switched from Watson to Vicodin. They work.
