ive been taking vyvanse for a while now. and every time i take it i have a number of problems and im concerned my main issue is that my tongue gets these sores and its my skin bunching up and peeling away. and im scared and dont no what to do i also dont sleep, eat or want to move around much. my whole body hurts. but thats kinda normal since i have arthrithis and fibromyaglia. but its even worse. and if i take my medicine more then one day in a row i start to see things and everything moves. im having a lot of problems i hope someone could help mem out a little please and thank you ## You really do need to seek medical assistance with this, because the skin peeling can be the sign of a possible serious and dangerous reaction. According to the dosing information on the Vyvanse site, the maximum dose that should be taken per day is 70 mg. I highly recommend speaking with a doctor before taking a higher amount.

3 days ago, I finally decided to make an appt with a psychiatrist to finally discuss my issues. I am a very sound, intelligent wife/mother of 2 children ages between 15-20. I feel that I am VERY normal and have no 'mental' issues. What I felt that pushed me to finally go see a doctor and finally accept help: I'm an organic, all natural mother. My son was diagnosed with ADHD many years ago. So I decided to finally go back on medication, and am on Vyvanse. I stopped taking meds for my ADHD when i was about 14 as I was getting depressed from it then. Now, I am 22 and finishing up my last year at University and I am at a place where I know I need help to focus. This week I haven't taken it totally consistently since going back on, but when I have, the second consecutive day has been extremely helpful. My concentration and motivation to get work done that I need to cannot even be compared to what it is without the medication.I am on a 40mg dose. However, I have noticed I am starting to make unreasonable demands of my better half. I also know this in my head, not just after but beforehand. I'm like "oh no, here it comes. 5 year old had been on Vyvanse (20mg) 4 weeks and 1 day. His behavior has improve becsuse they had shorten his day to two hours. Smh a few days ago I noticed his eyes when he blinked he held it for a few than his teacher mentioned it yestrrday. But now its getting Worst to about 4 blinks in a roll and you can tell he is not incontrol of his movements and it looks like it hurts. Very sad mom. For 11 weeks my son has gotten out of school 5 hours now this. I just faught the school to get his day till noon. I just feel Sad. I have taken Vyvanse 70mg. for 3 years and do well on it I ran out so for the past 3 days I have not had any. I have a few more days until my doc is back from vacation I ran out because I missed my last appointment and you know how that goes. I feel like crap can't get out of my ownway dont want to do any thing Iam not functioning well at all and my question is... can you get any thing over the counter to help seriously this is the worst I have felt! ## Wow! If i was once prescribed to vyvanse could i get back on it? I stopped taking it because i wasnt going to school. Soon ill be back at school and thinking i should really get back on it. I have been on 40 mg 2x day for narcolepsy & nuvigel I can no longer afford the nuvigil 470.00/month, but the vyvanse alone does not work & my Dr. says he can't increase my vyvanse, on maximun dose. I have taken the drug vyvanse a few times and every single time my tongue tastes like blood and I spit up small amounts of blood. I wanted to see if this drug was the cause of these symptoms so I waited a few days to see if there was a pattern. The blood spitting went away after a few days and everything cleared up. As soon as I took the pill again everything came back quickly and exactly the same symptoms. Also my entire tongue muscle turns gray until the drug wears off. I don't mean that it has a grey coating I mean the tongue muscle is grey. Obviously I know to stop taking this drug immediately but I am more worried that these rare side effects are any indication that I have another underlying issue possibly with my esophagus. i don't believe that vyvanse should be legal. i think it is a very harmful drug and is prescribed carelessly. there are some who can take it and be okay but some who they might as well be doing meth. ## It is a stimulant medication, just like Adderall or Concerta, and it will affect different people in different ways. ## I don't underst and why you think this medication should be illegal.You claim that people abuse it like speed, and that it is prescribed too much. I am in Los Angeles, visiting from SC, with a written/stamped prescription for 50 mg Vyvanse. Either the pharmacies dont have it, or they tell me they can't fill it out of state. Hi all. If this is relevant, I'm 20, male, and I've been taking Vyvanse for my ADHD for about a year. It has been a godsend to my GPA, but I do encounter some negative side effects from it: 1. Diarrhea. This happens consistently, about 20-30 minutes after taking vyvanse, which is pretty much how long it takes for me to notice the neurological effects of the drug. I have never, in my life, been so good at bathroom reader sudoku. With that said, this is still a problem to me. 2. Lack of appetite. I pretty much have to stuff my face before taking vyvanse, because once it is in effect, my stomach might as well be vacuum-sealed for the subsequent 8+ hours. I have class from 8am-1pm, so I don't need a pill that lasts for 12 hours. A pill that lasts around 8 hours would be more that sufficient for my needs. It wouldn't be an issue, but the side effects of Vyvanse blow, and I'd rather they not last throughout the entire day. Today was my first day on 30mg of Vyvanse. I am 17 years old and have been struggling with attention and my ability to work within time constraints for my entire life. I have generally regular eating habits. This morning, I took the Vyvanse right before eating toast. For the rest of the day until about 6pm, the idea of putting food in my mouth seemed awful. I wonder if anyone can help or advise me , I am in my late thirtys and I have been on Vyvanse for three weeks now. I have had bad pain in my upper abdomen which Dr cannot find any problem with ( scan ) and my hands shake very badly. I started on vyvanse 3 months ago...20mg, then 30, no thinking I may need to go up again, but I have restless leg syndrome, and increased dosages seem to aggravate this. Are there other ADD meds that might be better for me? This is my first medication...I'm over 50. ## All of the ADD medications that are available are various forms of stimulants, so it is likely that they may all aggravate such a condition.
