Vyvanse Gave Me A New Life.

Updated

I have been taking Vyvanse for several years now and it has changed my life.....for the better. I was in my late 40's when I took a brother of mine to the doctor to see if there was any help available for his mental condition. Something that could help him function and be productive and have some normal thinking patterns. Long story short that didn't work for him but while there and hearing some information about ADD I realized me, my mother, my son, and other family members suffered to some degree with this disorder. I wanted to learn more and knew nothing of the drugs or how they worked. It was a little scary because I never had been a medicine person and was reluctant to try a drug to deal with this problem. I knew that my thinking process was in short increments not long drawn out thinking or problem solving. Well I can't even explain how happy I became because I now had the ability to be the me I always wanted to be. I had the extra boost of energy that allowed me to get up and exercise to think thru my eating plan. To not have food on my mind all the time. I was so excited with my new life and I began to see some things in a different perspective than I ever had before, it has truly been liberating. I have not like jumping thru all the hoops and to be made feel like a drug addict just to get my meds filled every month. I don't misuse this drug. I understand that it is used with other drugs but come on isn't there a way that the legit people can not be lumped with the crooks? I would be willing to have a blood analysis (random) or whatever. Every month I have to plan ahead to make sure I don't run out and now I find out that my physician called my doctors office and say's he is no longer going to be writing those prescriptions...............REALLY? Well ok I am sure that someone else will but not yet. See only certain physicians write those prescriptions because of Vyvanse being a federally controlled drug. Am I addicted? Well let me see do I want to go back the way I was...NO. Do I want to go thru the withdrawal symptoms that could last for several days while I am trying to keep up at work? Can I live without it......YES but I kind of like the me I am now, I love to problem solve, I now have the respect I have always wanted because I have expanded my brain to learn and people want my opinion. So you tell me is that such a crime?
