Can Vistaril Cause You To Feel High
67 Replies RSS
i was wondering if Vistaril can make you feel a little bit "off"? ## Vistaril contains the active ingredient Hydroxyzine, it is an antihistamine that is used to treat allergic reactions and, sometimes, for its sedative like effects. It will not get someone high, it's normal side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and impaired coordination. Learn more: Are there any other questions? ## You asked about Vistaril. I can tell you my grown child was rushed to the ER with a horrible red, itchy rash and hallucinations due to overdosing on Vistaril. We are not sure if they will recover without brain damage. So...NO do NOT experiment with this medication. If it is prescribed for you - take it in the proper dosage. If it is not prescribed - don't mess around with it! It...

need help is it ok to take vistaril busbars and suboxone
3 Replies RSS
My mental health nurse practitioner prescribed me 30mg twice a day of buspars, vistaril 25mg 3 times a day and I go to a suboxone clinic 2 strips a day I need to know if it's deadly or not the nurse knows I take the suboxone I'm just worried ?!?!? ## Hello, Kyman! How are you? The only possible interaction that I've found is due to the fact that both the Vistaril and the Suboxone can increase sedation, so you do need to be aware of that and keep an eye out for any danger signs, such as extreme sedation, severe dizziness and shallow breathing. Suboxone is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi im trying to quit ...

Vistaril showing up as benzo on a drug test
2 Replies RSS
I was taking vistaril and failed a drug test for benzo. I was just wondering if it can show up as benzo? I need proof for court and dont know what to do. ## Yes, vistaril has some similarities with benzos. Vistaril however is prescribed for itchiness, sleep as well as mild anxiety. Although they are two separate drugs, both benzos and vistaril share a very common chemical structure which may cause a drug test to read vistaril as a benzo. Hope this helps good luck. ## Will you fail a drug test for benzos talking visteril

I recently failed a urine drug screen for Benzos but don't take anything but my prescription meds. Any chance these meds caused a false positive? ## Hello Coop. I think it could be the combined drugs. Quite a load. Did anyone ever tell you that one right drug could eliminate several of them from the list? Do you really have the right pschychiatrist, dear? I am worried for you. Do you do physical training for the anxiety? Anyone ever suggested Melatonin for you? Valerian root. Quitting coffee and cola.. no sugar diet?

vistaril, norco, imitrex

I take vistaril as needed between my imatrex for chronic migraines. I have now broken my wrist and have to wait to see a ortho surg. To get it set and have been given Norco for the pain. The pain and lack of sleep is triggering my migraines. Can I take imatRex and/or vistaril with the norco? ## Hello, Crissy! How are you? The main concern here is the Norco with the Vistaril, since they can both increase sedation and, if you aren't used to it, it could be too much for you. Thus, you shouldn't mix those, unless your doctor approves. However, I did not find any problems taking the Imitrex with the Norco, so that should be fine, as long as your doctor approves. The FDA classifies Norco as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, s...

Safety of expired drugs & general efficacy of drugs

How safe are the following drugs if expired, and is their general efficacy compromised as well? Vistaril Xanax Flexiril Excedrin Migraine Tylenol with Codeine Ear drops ## Hello, Brad! How are you? In tablet form, none of the medications you've listed become dangerous, once expired, but yes, they do start to lose efficacy and you should dispose of them. The expired liquid ear drops, however, can go bad and could cause problems, if you used them, as listed by the FDA. Liquids are nowhere near as stable as other medication forms. Both Xanax and Codeine carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is there a over the counter medicine for vistaril ## Hello, BJ! How are you? No, the closest you could get would most likely be Benadryl, which contains the active ingredient Diphenhydramine. It's an excellent antihistamine and usually the first choice used in most ERs to treat allergic reactions, but it doesn't have the same potent sedating effects that Vistaril does. If you need to switch, please check the safety of doing so with your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I am allergic to diphenhydromene. would this be suffice?

Any suggestions to what else I can take to relieve the itching all over my body, there is no rash. I have been to an allergist. I also saw an article that said it would harm an unborn fetus. but her doctor says it is alright. this is very confusing and we are afraid it may hurt her unborn baby?? ## Precautionary guidelines for Vistaril (hydroxyzine) note the following: tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking hydroxyzine, call your doctor. Another reputable source indicates that the use of hydroxyzine does not appear to be associated with increased teratogenic risk (embryo abnor...

!!!EMERGENCY!!! Will it help with a toothache. I have one really bad and i have nothing else but the E613 Vistaril pill. ## Hi Tiffany, I'm sorry to hear about your pain from the tooth ache. The "E613" imprint on a green capsule is identified as Hydroxyzine pamoate (25 mg). This is most commonly used in the treatment of anxiety, pain, nausea/vomiting, and sedation. Although it is regarded as a weak pain reliever in comparison to other pain medication, It may suffice for the purpose you intended on using it for.
