Usually Skip My Placebos, Not This Mnth. Had Unprotected Sex After Only One Pill In New Pack...at Risk?

Hi, I have been on Lo Loestrin Fe for 9 months, and most always skip my placebos in order to avoid my period, continuing on to the next pack appropriately. I didn't do that this past month, allowing myself to get my period this week. I resumed my pills yesterday. I had unprotected sex last night, and took my second pill of the pack today. Should I be concerned because I was off the pill (during placebo pill week) for the first time in a while? I worry that because my body is used to having these hormones every day, and then this week I stopped them for my period week, that I could be at risk. Want to know if I should take the morning after pill. Thank you so much for insight!

You are still protected, even if you take the placebo tablets and have your menstrual cycle, it is really just a fake cycle.

I did the same thing. I have not taken any placebo pills for the past three packs, and then stopped taking pills for 4 days. I did this because I thought it would be the same as ending a pack/taking the placebo pills. I started taking the pill again, and after 4 days had unprotected sex. I'm confused as to whether I was protected or not because some places say as soon as you stop taking the pill you are at risk for pregnancy, but wouldnt that mean anyone who actually takes the placebo is unprotected?
