Using Different Pharmacy

I have a Fentanyl script to fill today. Looking for quick responses please folks! I have a Fentanyl 25mcg script to fill today. My regular pharmacy does not has the generic I hate. It is the pharmacy I am supposed to use per pain contract. It is Sunday so can't call doc but need right now. Should I use a different local pharmacy and let doc know in the morning? Or best not to? What do you guys think?

If you breach your treatment contract, you doctor can drop you immediately and most don't hesitate about doing so. It would be best not to use a different pharmacy.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I agree with Verwon. You would be taking a big chance on your Dr dismissing you.

I'm on a pain contact and my doctor is okay if I use a different pharmacy as long as it's the same chain say for example if one Walgreens is out of my meds I can go to another Walgreens. Does your doctor not have anyone there answering the phones in case a patient has a emergency?

An answering service won't know about that. I assume that is what you're referring to. Even the people that answer the phones in the office won't know.
