Unable To Locate Pharmacy To Fill Script

I recently moved to Pa, I'm having trouble finding a pharmacy in or near Langhorne that can fill my script of oxycontin 80 mg, 90 per month. I run out today,I'm disabled and have been on oxycontin for 15 years. Can anyone help?

How have you been checking with the pharmacies to see if they can fill it?

If you've just been calling them to ask, then it isn't likely that you've been given an honest and accurate answer.

Oxycodone is a narcotic that is very commonly abused and diverted, so pharmacies have to worry about theft and if someone just calls to ask if they can fill a prescription for it, they have no way of knowing if the person on the other end of the phone is a real patient or a potential thief.

Thus, the only way to really find out if they can fill your prescription is by actually going to the pharmacy, with the prescription in hand.

I've been to several pharmacy's and most r unable to fill oxys. I'm also on 3 a day , so it's hard to fill that many. I wasted my whole day in the car. I finally got it filled on Monday. Seems the only pharmacy who had them in stock wanted to check with my dr. To make sure I was legit.my drs office isn't open on weekend to verify. So here I am,moved to another state(Pa) with a drs from n.j., with a narcotic nobody has in stock. It's also at the discresion of the pharmacist weather or not they fill it. This is wrong. I had a printed script( not hand written). I've always gone to wal green because they r a chain.they can clearly see my records going back 20 yrs. The pharmacist knew I would be out,but didn't care.he wanted to cheek it with the dr. Why? The script Is over 1500 dollars.the ins wll only pay once a month. Too much power in the hands of th pharmacist! This I wrong.
