Hi. I have been taking Enanplus (75mg tramadol + 25mg dexketoprofen combo) for many weeks, for pain from a cam hip. Although I have tried to stop them, I get a few unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. I believe i should gradually decrease the dosage, but they only come in a standard dose. Am I correct in thinking, that if I split the tabs (e.g. go from 1 tab to 3/4, then 1/2 etc) I should be able to wean myself off of them? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have been taking 100mg tramadol and hydrocodone 10-325mg for 6years together for chronic pain. I recently tried to fill both my scripts and was told by the pharmacist that I can no longer fill both since tramadol has been classed as a controlled substance that I would have to pick one that I want to take. I am pretty upset. Is there a way around this, I am a nurse and have patients that get multiple narcotic perscriptions at the same time how are they able to do that. Many people are on different types of narcotics at the same time for chronic pain because they work differently I dont see how the government can do this to people. ## I am very sorry about the problem that you've run into. It really makes no sense, because there is no regulation restricting someone to just one b...

I TOOK 2 50 MG TRAMADOL THIS MORNING AND HAVE TO DO A URINE TEST FOR MY DR FRIDAY WHICH GETS SENT TO A LAB TO TEST FOR TRAMADOL. WILL IT BE OUT OF MY SYSTEM BY THEN? ## Yes, been through it, it shows as oxycodone. ## So I made my son take a drug test for opiates and it was positive,he claims all he has taken has been tramadol. I thought tramadol was a non narcotic pain pill so why would that show up as an opiate?or is he lieing and has been take other pills?i need help ASAP thank you ## Ultram will in fact show up as a opiate on urine drug screen, ultram is now considered to be narcotic. ## Yes, but it shows on a ten panel as PCP. Don't ask me why, but it does. Effexor and Paxil (SSRI anti-depressants) Also will give a false positive for PCP. Be sure you always tell the testing admi...

Will tramadol help with arthritis? My mother in law has severe pain due to arthritis and we are looking for any suggestions that would help with the pain. Thank you in advance. ## Hi Diara, Sorry to hear about your mother in law. Theoretically speaking, it should help, as Tramadol is regarded as a moderate to severe pain reliever. Whether or not it "will" help is another story. Depending upon your mother in law's tolerance to pain medication, overall severity of pain and other personal factors that play a role, finding the right dosage or treatment option may come down to trial and error, while of course working closely with the prescribing doctor. Has she experimented with any natural alternatives for pain relief?

The addiction withdrawal is worse than H and can cause unbelievable mental health problems. PLEASE BE WISE AND STEER CLEAR. ## Leave it if you want to live. reduce consumption slowly and give it up. If someone took a 50mg tramadol. I want to know how long it will take to enter into their urine? ## How long does it take for tramadol to show up in urine? ## I have to take a drug test for my po tomorrow and I took a tramadol last night. Will it show up in a urine test? ## Dear Britt, with tomorrow's urine test looming over you, I can't believe you would risk taking even a tramadol. I do hope you pass. If you had been looking for a high, you would not choose tramadol! So there must have been a legit pain issue. But still, so much hangs on passing every time you are tested, please be careful! As of now, the test for tramadol specifically, is not a given. Not like morphine, oxys, methamphetamine, or other substances. Good luck to you....and of course, as you know, tram is not wor...

Hi, last year in December I overdosed on 100 50mg capsules of tramadol, this was intensional but I was found and I was rushed to the hospital on a blue light, one route I had three seizures and the emergency team was unsure if I would survive, the reason I tried to take my life was I had been in a large amount of pain due to spinal stenosis, for the pain I was taking tramadol 2 x 50mg 4 x a day, 5 ml of oramorph 4 times a day, 2 x co codamol 500/30 4 x a day 50 mg Amitriptaline once a day and I had 10 mg butrans patches, even though I was on this amount of meds I was still in considerable amount of pain and I had enough. Short story is i survived the overdose and was held in a mental institution for 10 days. Since then I have had on operation to solve the pain which solved the pain prob...

yaking lamotrigine for bi-polar disorder, can i take tramaol safely? Can anyone answer tis for me? ## Please talk to a doctor or pharmacist about possible interactions and side effects. Second hand information on blogs is not always good to go by. Good luck! I am on limotrigine as well, I take t4 for chronic pain but not with the limotrigine. I space them out by two or more hours to prevent liver damage. ## The FDA warns that taking them together might increase the severity of side effects you experience, such as nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, sedation, and confusion. But you should only take them both, if your doctor has approved. What dosage have you been prescribed of them both?

Need doc in indiana willing to prescribe tramadol for busy mom in desperate need of pain relief. Longtime sufferer of rheumatoid arthritis in spine and fibromyalgia. Please help!! ## Hello, Kccol! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. Unfortunately, there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. Additionally, due to the new directives set forth by the DEA last year, if you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. A general practitioner won't prescribe it. The FDA classifies this medication as an opioid analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and cons...

I have the above which was prescribed for pain for surgery I had in 2011. Is this drug still safe and effective? ## Hello, Trina! How are you? If it is in a bottle as dispensed by your pharmacy, then it would have expired one year from the date it was dispensed to you. After that, it begins to lose potency and will not work as well. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## This medication was used and there is still half the medication left will the pharmacy take them back and replace them if I pay for it

I have a drug test coming up and I just want to know what tramadol will show up as just and opiate or will it show up for somthing else too? I keep getting different answers and I just would like to know ## Tramadol isn't remotely related to amphetamine in anyway so it would not show up as amphetamine. I have heard conflicting info on if it shows up as an opioid so I would bring the bottle and leave it in the car for interviews, just in case. I don't like listing prescriptions that don't show up on drug tests just in case they discriminate so I wish there was a clear answer regarding it showing up as a opiate. ## Actually, you're completely wrong, I've just done a urine drug screen, and the ONLY drug I've taken is Tramadol, and the test came back positive for Amp...

I want to know what tramadol looks pike ## Hello, Teresa! How are you? I'm sorry, but since this is a generic medication, there are far too many of them on the market, in varying dosages, for me to be able to list all the descriptions and markings for you. Are there any markings on the pill in question? This information would enable me to check its identification for you. The FDA classifies Tramadol as an opioid, it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## It is oval shape white an has looks like quite an 101 on it

I have been taking Tramadol for at least 9 years now for chronic post-surgical right knee pain, back pain, and Arthritis. They just took Tramadol off of the $4 list at wal-mart and Target. I do not like narcotics because they make me feel sick, and have horrible withdrawal symptoms and side effects. I am already physically dependent on the Tramadol so I don't want to make it any worse by adding a Narc to it. I am allergic to NSAIDS to the point that if I take them it will kill me, Tramadol is becoming to expensive, and Tylenol doesn't even come close to alleviating my pain, I am in so much pain all of the time...what pain meds can I take that isn't expensive, works well on severe bone and joint pain and not an NSAID??? ## Actually, Tramadol is classified as an opiate/narcotic...
