I would like to know what tramazone is, please. Should this be given to elderly people for pain? Is it related to morphein? Many thanks ## I'm sorry, did you mean Tramadol? It is a mild, opiate narcotic used to treat pain and yes, it can be given to the elderly, however, they may be more sensitive to its effects, so they may require a lower dosage. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Learn more:

long, white tablet with 377 on one side of it ## what does 50mg tramadol look like ## Well the tablet described above, marked with a 377 is one example, however, I cannot possibly describe all of them. Once a medication is available for generic production, it can be made by many difference companies and there are no regulations on how they look, that is entirely up to the manufacturer. Tramadol is a generic for Ultram, it is a pain reliever. Some common side effects may include: nausea, dry mouth, dizziness and constipation. You can read more about it here: If you do have a particular pill that you wish to check, please post back with the imprint from the tablet and I will gladly look it up for you. Is It a narcotic? How safe is it to take for long period?Does it interfere with any other drug taken? I take it for fibromialgia and rheumathoid arthritis. ## No, Tramadol is not classified as a narcotic, though the FDA has changed their minds on this, several times. Currently, it is classified as a centrally acting analgesic, because it does not control pain as well as a narcotic, but it can cause similar side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. It can react with some other medications, however, there are far too many for me to list. Can you post back with the name of any other drugs you are concerned about? I will gladly check the interactions for you.

Does any1 no if tramadol and buscopan can be taken together as I'm so I'll from takeig them together and yet the doc gave me them ## Have you talked to your doctor about it, yet? Were you directed to take them at the same time? If you are feeling ill from a medication, it can sometimes help to take it with food or, if there is more than one medication, to take them at separate times, an hour or two apart. There are no interactions listed, but since both can cause some nausea as a side effect, it would be normal for it to be more pronounced, if you are taking them both, at the same time. You may also experience a heightening of other side effects, such as: drowsiness and dizziness.

I have lower back sciatic pain which my Dr prescribes 50mg of tramadol(2x daily)which I think is a joke..It won,t even help a hang nail, let alone a tooth ache..What am I doing wrong, what kind of Dr should I be seeking??? ## Have you seen any other doctors? Have you had any tests performed to see what is causing the pain? If you are just seeing your regular, primary care physician for it, that is probably the problem right there. They are not trained to treat those types of specific conditions or to do pain management. To find effect relief, you really need to see someone that can figure out what is causing the problem and then figure out appropriate treatment. Your doctor is also probably afraid to prescribe anything stronger. Prescriptions for controlled substances have to be reporte...

is tramadol, a narcotic or non narctic pain medication ## Tramadol is actually classified as a non-narcotic, centrally active analgesic. There have been questions raised over its status and the classification has been changed, several times. This is due to the fact that it is derived from a narcotic. When it was created, those developing it tried to create a medication that would be as effective for pain as a narcotic, but without the side effects and addicting properties. However, they later found out that this did not work. What they actually created is something that isn't as effective and still caused all the other problems.
