How can I maximize the effectiveness of this medication? It does not always work as prescribed but my doctor does not want to change my medication at this time. ## I find that taking a 50mg Tab with a 500 mg Tylenol on an empty stomach works best. Drink lots of water! Eat about two hours after. Works well with a 4mg Tizanidine (muscle relaxer too). Sometimes I split the tab to 25mg w/2 Tylenol as a trade off. I found a small white oval shaped pill that has 377 on one side and blank on the other. Tylenol 3 is the stronger drug, with real opiates, just so you know. ## It requires 25mgs of the Codeine in Tylenol 3 to equal each 37.5mgs of Tramadol. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. I live in Memphis and am suffering from chronic pain from c1 and c2 in my neck and the trap area in my shoulder. My collarbone often feels like it is broken. I have dealt with this pain on a chronic and severe level since 2007. I have had no insurance for most of my adult life but my husband was recently accepted as a senior scientist at St Jude Children's Research Hospital.the pain recently got so bad that I had to go to the emergency room even without insurance they gave me dilaudid to relieve the pain as well zofran which helps relieve nausea. I left the ER with a prescription of tramadol immediately made all pain go away. A buddy was dispensed a bottle of 100 pills. Not thinking they were of any importance he put them away and forgot about them. While cleaning up I found the bottle and went online. These pills are white, oblong in shape, on one side it says TR then a score line then 50..... This would be Tramadol, right? The thing is the back of the pill is blank, no APO or Ultram. So are these pills 50mg Tramadol (bottle they came in buddy had ripped off the important info and left other info like Drs name). From what I can gather from reading this it does say Hydrochloride 50mg. I just cannot be sure as they lack any stamp/imprint of the back despite looking so much like the APO TR/50 Tramadol. Has anyone been sent Ol-Trams from India? I was getting the AN 626 trams for almost two years and all of the sudden my source sends me this crap from India and actually charged me more... I would of never paid if I knew I was getting this crap. It's from a manufacturer called HAB pharmaceuticals. I know there is a Tramadol shortage and suppliers are going this route now because how easy it is for them to get them overseas. Tramadol is opioid that is used to treat pain. Can you double check the name of the med and post back? There is another opiate option that could be somewhat close to this name, that would Tapentadol. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Hi . I had Been using tramadol recently for back pain and leg pain and sleepless which didn't work well . I was then switched to hydrocod/acetem 7.5 325 mg that was some what better than tramadol. but I ent up having liver pain just under my right ribs and yellowish stools from the acedimedfin or Tylenol . so my doctor put me back on tramadol 50mg every 6 hours.. i get the same results from no better than previous . What i need to ask is.. are there any other pain meds that don't contain acedimedfin Tylenol that won't affect my liver. Even Knowing almost any meds can affect the liver !
