Tramadol - Unable To Acheive Orgasm (Page 10)

Anyone else experiencing this side effect? Not a normal topic of discussion for me with anyone but my doctor. I found this drug to be very helpful with easing pain, no sedating effect, BUT after taking this medication discovered I was unable to acheive orgasm. It took me a while to figure out it was the Tramadol causing the problem.

Hi , definitely it does affect you I know it's not just orgasm also the feeling to have sex go very low to nothing the other thing it's very addicted, some say it's not but my wife and I have the same problem. For my low back help a lot but if you stop taking you feel strange feeling of pain so uncomfortable and it's terrible. Unfortunately I've got chronic pains and other pain killer doesn't work like tramal it does help a lot with pain.

yes i have been taking tramadol for a short period now but 100 milligram tablets. i can get an erection but loss of hornyness and no orgasm i am going to the doc tomorrow for more answers

Hello there yes I take tramadol for my back and yes I was unable to ejaculate for at lest two days after I stop taking it .So I as well experienced this side effect.

Yup I'm trying to get pregnant and it's taking HOURS and he still can't climax. Have been trying for days. And I'm getting pissed as I only ovulate for two days. I'm getting ready to flush the s*** and he can suffer in pain if I don't get his sperm NOW.

Hi just read your post and i have exact same problem with my lower back/left side of the pelvis and quite honestly get desperate for pain relief i tried taking none but its impossible. Problem is now though is firstly i couldn't achieve an erection and even when i can if i ejaculate that is it, instantly soft where as prior to this happening i could happily go at least twice :-(... On top of this my partner also pointed out and we monitored further that i haven't produced any semen at all for over 3 months and we are now trying for a baby which im no expert but im sure u need semen :-/ ..

Any advice or similar experience?? I'm back in hospital thursday all my scans ultra sound of penis, testicles are normal even had prostate checks and sperm ducts and they are also fine so it has to be the tramadol surely.

Hello I was on tramadol for a few months and had too ween myself off them.
When I was taking them sex with my partner used to laste for ages and most of the time I wouldn't finish but since I've been off them I'm lucky if I can last a couple of minutes I'm just wondering if this is due to me coming off them and if so how long will this last for?
I'm a 26 year old male

Yup, me too. Total lack of erection. Took a while to click that it was the Tramadol and much reassurance to my wife that it had nothing to do with her.
It is however fantastic as pain relief for my lower back and shoulder.

Have you been able to talk to your doctor about this? I'm a 30yo woman. I've been taking tramadol 100mg 3x daily for postherperic neuralgia, from recurring shingles outbreaks. This is helping my pain tremendously but I have been unable to fully reach climax while trying anything and everything with my husband for about three months now. I've never had this issue before. I mean...I've had nights were I was just too tired to worry about myself and tended to my husband's needs but this is crazy! Sex is very enjoyable and I am fully aroused and my body wants to orgasm but...it just won't happen. Please tell me you've found the holy grail and are pain free and able to achieve orgasm!

Hey my man has the same problem..i also take them with trams..i been on and off of them since I been 18 I'm now 27.. I can't cum right away either its takes awhile but my man barely takes them but tonight he can't even get hard and its so frustrating!! What's the deal?

Me and my wife both take transform for pain, we can both still orgasm it just takes a little more work to achieve it.

regarding the inability to orgasm while taking tramadol. Question for the men; would you rather your girlfriend not bring the subject up if you're able to perform otherwise?

It takes a good length of time for me to achieve an orgasm while taking tramadol. I have only been on it about 4 weeks and noticed this right away.

Hi all,

Tramadol just like all opioids acts on nerves. nerves transmit information to the brain. orgasm is simply messages from all those nerve endings to your brain. while masturbating we use imagery to help the message complete the circuit. long use of one type opiate will disrupt the connection. do you have difficulty with the imagery as well? my advice is to switch to equal dose buprenorphine after you abstain from tramadol as long as you can manage. be ready, very ready for intense re awakenings. this circuit is the most vital we have for our survival thus it will come back with a vengeance. once on buprenorphine stable you will notice a heightened sense of everything. this is a very precise switch, must get dosage right as bupe is very strong. so you will most likely only need a micro gram dose. at this point if you dont want to taper off it you can stay on it or switch back and forth. you must allow your nerves and brain to communicate.

As a Matter of fact, YES... WTH? i Spent almost 4 hours trying... and this was only the 2nd day after starting use. the first day i managed to. but the second... impossible. It was almost as if the nerve endings in that area just were not relaying Sensation..

I have been taking tramadol for a number of years. I use it sporadically PRN. I find that after I stop taking it, my ibido rebounds after several days. For about a week after stopping I have a hyper-libido.
