Thoratoz (mexican Atenolol 50 Mg)

I need help identifying the Mexican pill thoratoz (atenolol 50 mg). I bought my mom's blood pressure medicine in Mexico and it looks so different from US that she's afraid to take it. Can anyone help please?

Finding specific details about the pill's appearance has been a challenge. The manufacturer's web site does have a page on Thoratoz 50 mg, but unfortunately the image is not loading.

It is a round shaped thick white pill with no markings.

Darn, if only that picture would load on the manufactuer's site! Without any markings it is pretty much impossible to make a definite ID, not to mention that meds from outside the USA are not regulated the way they are here as far as needing specific imprint codes for each drug. I hope it works out for you guys, sorry I couldn't give you more definite information...

I also bought this pill in Mexico and I found the pill very strange looking. Looks about the same size in roundness but about 4 times thicker. I took 2 of them and it failed to hold my blood pressure so I have thrown them out. Learned a valuable lesson not to buy drugs outside of the USA or Canada. No quality control there
