Aprodine has Pseudoephedrine Hcl and Tripolidine Hcl, but the inactive ingredients are not exactly the same. Can be a problem for some.

I found 48 tablet Wal-Act in San Carlos, CA today for $9.48. Each tab is 60 mg Psuedophedrine HCl + 2.5 mg Triprolidine. Needed to show photo ID and sign some form.

For more info, see: Actifed Details. Apparently, the original ingredients are also available in Genac and Aprodine, if you can find them.

My ENT doctor orders them for me. If you have a doctor who can help you... majorpharmaceuticals.com has them, but does not sell to the public. Major sells them as Aprodine in 100 tablet bottles. Good luck!

I'm totally willing to send money to those that can get these and ship it to me lol! Actifed and Wal-act used to help my asthma and allergies so well and I'm terribly sad that I cannot find them here in my area of Florida

Walgreen's doesn't sell it any longer. I've been on a 3 week quest and all I can get from all of the pharmacists is to try combinations of other products to achieve the same results. None of the pharmacists, store managers, or corporate headquarters has an answer. The best they come up with is that if the sales weren't high enough they must have discontinued it. It seems ludicrous to me that a decision would be made to discontinue an item that has been carried on their shelves for years and no message was sent out to the stores as to why? Very poor customer service.

Today the local Walmart had absolutely no cold meds with Pseudoephedrine in stock.
But just found Wal-Act today at the local Walgereens.
Cost $7.99 for 48 tabs
Here are the active ingredients:
Pseudoephedrine HCl 60 mg
Triprolidine HCl 2.5 mg

Allowed one at a time, have to show ID, sign agreement to obey the law, etc.

The original ACTIFED was a combination of the decongestant pseudoephedrine HCI and the antihistamine triprolodine . Because of the proliferation of meth labs , pseudoephedrine HCI (the original Sudafed ) is being phased out thanks to the federal government . It's replacement , phenylephrine HCI , is a lame substitute .

Original Actifed was triprolidine only and did not have pseudoephedrine added. Wal-Act contains both.

I have always used Actifed for a bad cold with congestion as well. Just one or two pills and it dried me right up. I got sick again over the holidays and am suffering so started looking for the product since I'm out of it. Found your post from February 2014 and just contacted my Walgreen's in Hillsdale, NJ. They still carry Wal-Act (similar to the old Actifed) behind the counter. I'm thrilled. Hope this helps you too.

I am in total misery only thing helps is wal-act and can't find here in ms. Hate govt and sorry meth addicts messing my life up. Have tried all the OTC and other prescription they say works instead. Nothing helps spent hundreds for no relief. No one cares if I suffer? I can't go on living like this.

So glad I found this thread. Just purchased WalAct D at Walgreens and it is the original Actifed formula: 60 mg pseudoephedrine HCL + 2.5 mg triprololidine hcl.

Aprodine is the original Actifed. It is available at Publix in FL and TN . It may be available at all Publix stores but I have only bought it in these 2 states. The ingredients are PSEUDOEPHEDRINE HYDROCHLORIDE 60mg, TRIPROLIDINE .

Buy a box of pseudo ephedrine and a box of chloprinephrine (or however you spell it) maleate. That's what I've done in the past. However, I've switched to nettle as an antihistamine and it works better than anything over the counter for allergies.

It's up to $9, but I don't care since it is the only thing that works for me. THANKS TO ALL FOR THESE POSTS!

I buy mine at walgreens too because it works the best, but I've tried to get more at 30 days, which is about one and a half times a day, and they look at me like I'm the criminal, and won't give me any. it's been two weeks since I've ran out, so I guess I'll go back again tonight. What is that saying about one bad apple?

Hey guys. I love the old Actifed but can't find it in Canada anymore. I did however find a place in the UK that ships to Canada (and I assume the U.S.), and I'm pleased to say that my first box arrived today, and took very little time to ship. 2.5mg Triprolidine with 60mg of pseudo.

But here's the thing. In Canada, pseudo is regulated not or controlled. It's right there on the counter, and you can buy as much as you want. This is not true in the UK and most of the US as I understand it. For that reason, the pharmacy in the UK refuses to ship me more than one box per order, and shipping is something like 15 or 17 British pounds. The box of 12 pills was only something like 5 pounds. So I paid 38 Canadian dollars (about 29 USD for one box). I realize that's crack prices, but to me they are worth $3 a pill because they are the only thing that fixes my bad allergy flare ups, which happen about 3 times a month and debilitate me for the day.

The site is mypharmacist.co.uk. I've done some digging on this medication, and this is the only site I've found.

Cheers!
