Thankful For Chantix

I had took Chantix about 3 months ago and successfully was able to quit. So many people I've suggested it to have all of these excuses why they can't stop smoking or are worried about the side effects of others. I had absolutely no side effects I felt like throwing up 3 or 4 times for maybe a second but then it passed. I had virtually no side effects this is an amazing product. I smoked for almost half my life and I was able to quit within 2 weeks. Thank you

I am on day 4 with the champix and find myself a bit afraid of taking the leap to a better non smoking me. Smoking has been a constant in my life for 23 years. I've never been successful in quitting before but am hopeful to quit now. I know that the emotional attachment is going to be the most difficult to overcome. My spouse is not ready to quit yet either which I'm worried will make it difficult but I've just finally come to a place where I'm not willing to make any more excuses.

To quit successfully, someone must be ready to quit for themselves and for their own reasons. They can't do it to make anyone else happy, or because anyone else demands it. Even facing their own imminent death won't help, if they just aren't ready to face it and quit.

How are things going, Anna? Is the Champix helping?

It is going OK. I haven't had many side effects other than nausea and tiredness. I'm on day nine and am thinking about possibly day 14 for my full quit date. I have cut back quite a bit so far but have struggles yet with the routine smoking... Ie wake up/coffee break/after dinner etc.
