Keep in mind though that this drug has a TON of possible undesirable side effects (there's a lot of users on here that are complaining about how bad the side effects are). Not worth it in my opinion unless you really really need it!

This drug was prescribed to me after heavy bleeding after an operation was done by a surgeon in an other hospital. I presume it was given to me to help prevent an infection. I did not feel any side effects from this drug. I was also given a week supply of antibiotics by my own Doctor. This was a very large lypoma and the cut was about 9 inch long in the area of my belly-button this was 6 weeks ago and was leaking for 4 weeks, some skin turned very red in that area yesterday.

Hi John,

Wow, that sounds intense! Hopefully you are recovering well by now or have completely recovered after the operation. I don't have any personal experience with this particular antibiotic, so my motive in the previous reply was solely based on reading and collaborating back and forth with other user reviews on this site. They make it sound like it's worse than the reason they are taking it! So my apologies if I put a lot of emphasis on the side effects.

About your skin turning red in that area; Is it also sore? I'm assuming your body is still trying to heal itself in that region and may become red periodically during this healing process. Possibly rebuilding tissue where it was cut. To be sure, it may be a good idea to give your doctor a call and let him know. He can offer you a much better insight on the anatomy of what's going on in there if the redness remains a concern to you.
