High Blood Pressure medication ## problems with this medicines.tekturnabystolic,novasc blood pressure medicines ## Did you mean Tekturna? It contains the active ingredient Aliskiren, it is used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Bossy, what kind of problems are you having with it, or are you just asking about the possible side effects?

been on tekturna for 2 months and i like them,i take at nite and take lotril during the day, seems like a lot but they work well together, my only problem is since taking tekturna ive gain 8 pounds,diet always the same and work out 5 days a week, want to stay on these pills but dont want the weight gain, anybody having the same problems?my weight was 155 now zoomed up in 3 weeks to 163,not happy ,but blood pressures great! ## Linda, I have the same problem, 5 Kgs (11 pounds) in 7 months. What is a good alternative medication for tekturna which is working well for black male 63 yrs old experiencing side effects of serious hives, swelling, and itching. ## That sounds like an allergic reaction, which could continue to get worse and become life threatening, so he needs to seek medical treatment. Then, he can discuss the issue with his doctor and they can prescribe an appropriate alternative. Are you sure it's due to the Tekturna? Does he take any other medications?

Have been on Tek for over 3 years in conjunction with lisinopril and HCTZ. would like to find an alternative to Tek in lieu of Novartis AVOID studies. I am not currently considered diabetic but do have on going Blood Sugar issues ## There are many other medications available for treating hypertension, so it will really all depend on what works best for you. I've been on tekturna 3 1/2 years and have had 10 pound weight gain in lower stomach area. In the last two to three months I have begun to experience fatigue/exhaustion and pains in the shins of my legs...checked this medically and it is not shin splints, also some memory loss. possible side-effects ## Tekturna HCT is used to treat hypertension. From what I was able to gather there is a pretty significant list of possible side effects. Possible side effects include allergic reactions such as: Hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Serious side effects may include: Jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes); easy bruising or bleeding; feeling like you might pass out; urinating less than usual, or not at all; fever, sore throat, and headache with a severe blistering, peeling, and red skin rash; joint pain or swelling with fever, swollen glands, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, chest pain, unusual thoughts or behavior, and/or seizure (convulsions); or dry mouth, increased thirst, drowsiness, confusion, increased urination, muscl...

What are the side effects of this drug,texturna? ## Possible side effects while taking Tekturna are diarrhea. tecterna 150 mg ## This medication is unavailable in the U.S. and I am sorry to say that other countries do not regulate their prescription drugs as strictly as the FDA does. That said, finding information on them is very difficult, since there are no databases which list them all, like there are for U.S. prescription drugs. The only thing I can suggest is that you try asking your doctor or pharmacist for more information. ## This drug is actually spelled Tekturna, and it is FDA approved earlier this year. If you Google Tekturna there are numerous websites on it.
