Has anyone ever felt spacey, tired and loss of interest? Also I've seen that men only take this medicine. ## Well, it is usually only used by men, because it is used to treat urinary problems caused by an enlarged prostate and that is a part of anatomy that women don't have. As listed by the FDA, it is not approved for use in women, at all. Why was this prescribed for you? Honestly, I can't even give you a list of possible side effects, since it isn't used in women and has never been studied in women. ## Two years have passed after taking my last tamsulosine and I am still suffering from side effects. I have pain in my whole body and joints, runny nose, constipation and the worst- ED. Can anyone help me? All doctors say that is not possible. But I was healthy before, and...

I've been taking Tamsulosin 0.4 for a while with little side effects. My pharmacy gave me Tamsulosin 0.4 made by a different manufacturer, Aurobindo. The capsule is a little bit bigger than the previous manufacturer. Now I'm getting dizzy to where I almost pass out. Is it possible that this different manufacturer is the cause? ## What are the markings on the new one that they have provided you with? The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, and increased urination. It is very unusual to experience such severe side effects, just from changing a different manufacturer.

Is there a difference between Tamsulosin Cap 0 4 Mg and Tamsulosin cap 0.4 mg ZED? The ZED capsules are smaller and seem less effective. ## Hello, Ira! How are you? No, they've just been manufactured by different companies, which is common with generics. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including dizziness, drowsiness, weakness, back pain and blurred vision. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I also noticed that Sandoz Tamsulosin is much less effective. So much less effective, that when I renew the prescription I ask the pharmacist who manufactured the product, if it's Sandoz I look for a pharmacy that has it by Boehringer Ingelheim. I was told that generics can be manufactured with 20% less active ingredients, which explains it being...

I used to urinate frequently in the night. With this complaint I went to a urologist. That time retention of urine in the bladder (Ultrasound scanning) was found to be around 40cc. Then I was prescribed Dynosper(Tamsulosin 0.4mg). Used it for about 4 months. I did not have any problem. Meanwhile I found that if I stop taking water around 2 hrs before going to bed, the problem of frequent urination stopped. Then I discontinued the tablet. I did not feel it as a problem. Two months ago, approached urologist with the complaint of frequent urination in the day time. Not able to empty the bladder at a stretch etc.. Then my urine flow was analyzed. It was 4cc at maximum followed by a graph related to dripping of urine. Then I am prescribed Flotral-D (Alfuzocin10mg +dusteride 0.4 mg). I am usi...
