I found it at: "berts better health products". I also used it for boils and never had any more problems until I was in my 60's. My Grandmother was the one who had my father purchase them at the old drug store. The are called "Lemon & Cream of Tartar Sulfur Wafers".

Yes and they worked so good the government banned them. They worked so good that the doctors complained that they were not making enough money cause nobody got sick and the common cold just didn't stand a chance. So they said that the reason for getting rid of them was cause some people were allergic to suffer. I say that is bulls***. The only reason is cause the doctors weren't making the money they thought they should and the sad thing is the doctors complain about their waiting room being too full and they could stop it and if they sent them overseas. Then people wouldn't get malaria from the mosquitoes.

Mother gave them to all six of us during the summer months and we could play outside a lot longer and they did deter mosquitoes and they had other medicinal purposes. After my two youngest got old enough, I went looking for them. I found them on the shelves of a local grocery store chain in south Texas. I stocked up on them for the summer, I took them too, and when I went back the next year they were all gone and the grocery store didn't stock them anymore. My youngest daughter and I have been searching for them for years to no avail. She's highly allergic to mosquitoes and she wants some so she can stay out longer after dark. Does anyone know where I might find the little, yellow wafers?

My siblings and myself were given the sulfur and cream of tarter wafers for boils, to purify the blood. We haven't had a boil in 40+ years. My great grand children are having their boils cut open to drain and put on TMZ-TMP 200 liquid and are still getting boils. Leave it to the government, they have a better idea...HA! When something works, they get rid of it.

When a person has an allergy to something, they don't give it to the patient, why is the government, or the labs pulling it just because the, person is allergic to it? Maybe it is the labs, they can't make as much, if they don't keep you coming back.

thanks for info. 67 years ago a midwife prescribed them to to my mom because after she had given birth to my brother she was real swollen and it helped the swelling. So after i gave birth to my two children i would take them and it took away the bloatness and i would also take them during my menstrual cycle. They were green lozenges and kind of grainy.

If you figure out how to make them. Please email me {edited for privacy}. I used to take them as a child because I got boils all the time. But I could take them and would not have a problem with them. Please if anyone finds out how to make them let me know. My daughter suffers with boils and foliculitis.

I have used sulfur for many different ailments. It was used in my time for skin treatments and joint ailments. Methods for application depends on the problem. Some uses require a topical application or like the boils it is taken orally.. It works well for joint problems however it takes more than one application as it requires several days of use as joint problems are long time problems and take longer. I do not have a list of applications but for boils you have to take it orally. Takes only a day or so to work. {edited for privacy}.

My sister and I took these sweet cream of tartar sulfur tablets too when we were growing up. I talked with my Momma and my small town druggest, and both said the same thing. Whoever, quit making these gems a very long time ago. I was advised to try to find sulfur tablets for human consumption. Good luck y'all!

The site that carries the pills is called "lemoncreamoftartarwithsulfur". He doesn't take credit cards as he doesn't want to pay their fees. You send him a check and he sends you the pills..Maybe I have typed enough for the computer to allow me to move on with my life as if this doesn't work, I am done trying to pass this info along... The problem with "sulfa" drugs is they are processed to allow pharma houses to SELL them. Unfortunately in the mfg process they cause or develop compounds that can cause allergy reactions!!! By using pure element 16 (sulfur) I have never found any allergically related reactions! There are procedures for taking sulfur without negative side effects. This provides the aforementioned results experienced when you were a child and parents gave cream of tarter sulfur tablets for "boils" and other problems. Worked every time and no problems with allergic reaction.. It's not the sulfur!! Items containing sulfur are "msm" and DMSO" among others. The base is "sulfur".

for boils ,skin problems you used to take the cream of tarter tablets. The active element is SULFUR!! It is element 16. A mineral and can be used orally. For replacement of the tablets just use the Sulfur powder! works! abt .1mg /day for boils. (1/8 tsp). Virtually NO one is allergic to sulfur only to the Pharma substitutes!! There were no side effects using the cream of tarter tablets ergo no side effects using the active element "sulfur"
