if i have sulfamethtrimeth left over from a couple of months ago can i useit again

There are actually 2 problems with trying to do so.

The first is that this is an antibiotic, so if this is just a leftover amount from treating a prior infection, then there may not be enough of it to finish a full course of treatment and eradicate the infection. That leads to the possibility of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria.

And the second problem is that it may no longer be any good to use. Most antibiotic suspensions are only good for a week to 10 days, after they've been mixed and do not retain their effectiveness after that time period.

Does it have an expiration date on the bottle?
