Is suboxone & zanax dangerous to take together?

Based on my research, there are potentially dangerous drug interactions listed between Xanax and the buprenorphine found in Suboxone. From what I've read, using either of these medications together can increase your risk of developing serious respiratory depression, buprenorphine overdose, coma, and even death.

Is this combination something your doctor prescribed to you? If so, he's really putting you at risk for some potentially life-threatning side effects. You may even want to consider switching doctors to someone who knows more about drug interactions; if not but for your own safety.
