Suboxone And Urine Testing: Need Clean Sample Testing Positive For Suboxone

Updated

I will save my story until after and ask my question first: Can I give Suboxone to a drug free friend and use their urine sample for the urine drug test that is held in the doctor's office? CONCERNS: 1. I need the metabolites of Suboxone to show up, so I want to know how MUCH suboxone to give her so that it shows up (without making her feel uncomfortable) and approximately how LONG after dissolving should I collect the urine sample. 2nd concern: I have been on subs for a year, about 2-4 mg a day. Since she is taking sub for the first time, I'm wondering if the CONCENTRATION of the drug will matter or show up on the test..if so, then obviously her levels will show differently than mine. I am hoping it only tests for traces of suboxone.

My appointment is very soon and any help is appreciated as this is urgent and I need this script for my well being and to function, unfortunately. I have been clean but made a non opiate slip up by doing coke and my doctor is NOT tolerant of any drug showing positive on the test besides suboxone. I can't be kicked out and I know I messed up, but any help would be appreciated.

I also considered dissolving a strip into clean urine, but this is risky for several reasons already posted on this site, and since I have a day before my appt and a person willing to do this for me, I wanted to ask if it will work.

Sorry you didn't get this in time, but I think you'd be out of luck anyway. I've been on subs for a while now, and my test results come up on my patient information screen. Mine always has two numbers. The first shows the current level , and the second one (which takes another day to show up) shows another number which I've been told shows how much total is in your system. My numbers do always vary- more than they should because I literally do forgot to take it (my adhd is out of control since I can't take adderall if I want to be on Suboxone , and I know I'd starting trying to get Percs again if I go off...). Because they do the long range test, though, and because I've been 100% upfront for the entire time, I've never had a problem. Basically, I think you'd have to find someone willing to take it who might actually want to be on it, but either can't afford it, or might not get a job, etc. But logistically I don't even know how that works. I know some people do buy urine with Suboxone in it somehow, but Im actually doing the whole recovery thing. I'm not here to judge others though. There are many days id love to check out with percs still- that's why Im still taking the Suboxone myself though

First off not b mean or anything but why would u give a friend that is drug free one of the most dangerous drugs on the market!!??? They could b allergic to it and end up on life support! I would NEVER offer a clean friend any amount of subs just cause i cant stay clean! Another thing is they have the narcotics database so itll only b a short amount of time before they know u r using benzos. Good luck to your friend and i pray that this very dangerous drug doesnt hurt them. Nxt ti.e dont do benzos so close to testing time! Good luck!!

You need to go and buy a synthetic control for bupe. Buy one of these and then add it to the sample and then test it.

Personally I kind of hope this did work for you without making your friend incredibly ill. You do not know what their allergies are or how this drug could affect them, so it's extremely dangerous to go this route. That being said I understand this. I have Known chronic pain patients who have bought medication, because what they're on does not work. They are called pseudo chronic pain patients. The crackdown of pain medicine since 2004 has forced people into... This criminal activity and dangerous situations. And I completely understand their point of view. But, it is extremely risky to take any opiate without a doctor's consent and knowledge of your medical history. Therefore, you did put your friend at risk. I understand your need to not be terminated by your doctor. I have been terminated for false positives and I myself have terminated doctors. It is extremely difficult to find a good pain management Dr in Salt Lake City Utah! My husband and I are considering selling our house and moving back to San Diego. I received better care there and we are thinking maybe I should look into medical marijuana oils to help with my issues. I have devastating spinal injuries and four... 10 milligram percocets a day, is not helping me. I have been on that dosage for 17 years! My spinal issues have worsened and will continue to do so and I'm pretty sure that after 17 years my body has some tolerance to that medication. Best of luck to you. I know this post is very late. But I do want to emphasize that you should not give any opiate to a friend. Especially if they've never taken one. They could be highly allergic and it could kill them. I still believe the best scenario for you was to tell your doctor the truth and what happened. If your doctor terminates you on the spot or does not work with you on this issue, you may be better off finding a new physician. If you do have an addiction problem, obviously you need to receive some outside help with this also. That being said even if somebody is an addict if they have extreme pain issues like I do, they still deserve relief. The doctor can work with you and do urine test every week and stay on top of what you are doing. I have a friend who has been clean for 10 years, yet she still receives high dosages of pain medicine for her issues. She just has somebody administer it to her and her doctor stays on top of it. In some situations whether you have addiction or not there is no other alternative than an opiate. She was hit by a vehicle crossing the street and broke almost every bone in her body. Then she was in a major car accident after recovery and that accident caused severe damage. If her physician did not work with her, I am sure she would have been buying something which is dangerous for her and goes against addiction recovery. By the way once you realize that you are a drug addict, you are always a drug addict whether you use or not. You are just a recovering drug addict. Some people do not realize this and it causes them to slip. My last doctor kept saying I was addicted and addicted. I just looked at him and said you know I actually do have chronic pain issues. Severe chronic pain issues. I have never taken more than what is prescribed me in a month. And I've been on them for 17 years, after 2 years it no longer gave me that crazy euphoric high. I believe it was due to my own tolerance and as long as I received some pain relief, I didn't care. I informed my position that no I was not addicted, but my body is extremely dependent on them. Obviously. I have been told, this will be a life long sentence for me. Also my life is going to be incredibly shortened because of my spine issues. Dependency is a completely different issue from addiction, though sometimes they can go hand in hand. I think it would be wise to inform your pain doctor that you are taking something else and that you have taken more than he prescribed. Sometimes if it is a pain issue, your doctor will be understanding and they will change your medication and work with you. Most often they just want you to get the hell out of their face. Sometimes I wish my doctors had experienced extreme chronic pain themselves. They might have a little more compassion than what they have.

Stop telling yourself that
If you are active in addiction you are an addict
I used to play a lot of golf now that I don't am I still a golfer
if you are in pain and need medication then you should probably take
Something
I used to gamble a lot now I don't
Life happens you can be a person that used to use drugs
I'm an addict alcoholic for life makes no sense

Hi! Hope your doing well. I started going to a Suboxone dr/psychiatrist 2 days ago (last monday) and i was prescribed Seroquel, Prozac and Suboxone. I tried the Seroquel for the last 2 nights and I HATE IT! Also, the Prozac makes me so nauseated that I haven't eaten some i stayed taking it. Anyways, if I'm not taking those 2, only the Suboxone, will they be able to tell that I haven't taken Seroquel and Prozac? Just wondering if you could shed some light on this for me. Thanks in advance.

You seem to know what your talking about so I want to ask you this. I'm on suboxone, took my drug test last week and got my script. Well my Dr's nurse called and said he wants me to come in for another test. The only thing I could think of is to check my levels. I'm new to this but don't want to f*** up already. I would go right in and take the test but I took a 1mg xanax last night, but that's the only time and that's all I took. How long should I wait? Can you help me out?

Re: Big Jim (# 5) Expand Referenced Message

The reason people say "I'm an addict for life" is bc it's a very important thing to acknowledge, those who don't often end up in situations where they tell themselves "I haven't had a drink in over a year, I'm not an alcoholic anymore so it's fine for me to go to this bar with my friends and have a couple drinks." The problem with that is, someone who is truly an addict can't do that bc they aren't able to do so. One night of having a couple drinks with friends, or even a glass of wine with dinner will pull you right back into active alcoholism 99% of the time. Acknowledging to others and ESPECIALLY to yourself that you are afflicted with the disease of addiction is nothing to be ashamed of, nor does it mean that you are a bad person, a weak person, or anything along those lines. It means that you are honest enough to admit that your disease prevents you from being able to do certain things and be in certain situations without putting your health, lifestyle, relationships, and your life at risk.

Re: Daveliss (# 4) Expand Referenced Message

If someone is a known addict it’s illegal for a doctor to prescribe their drug of choice to them.

But yeah, this person’s friend is going to get so sick.
