Suboxone To Heroin And Back

my boyfriend has been smoking heroin for the past 6 months and just got suboxone to stop the heroin. He waited 12 hours until he was into withdrawals and took 8 mgs of suboxone he was still not feeling well so he broke down and took 1 hit of heroin 30 min later. Is it ok for him to take more suboxone now 45 min after his 1 hit?

Suboxone contains the active ingredients Buprenorphine and Naloxone, this combines a narcotic, with another medication that helps neutralize other opiates, to prevent their abuse, while under treatment with it.

Proper use of Suboxone entails a careful calibration of the dosage, to prevent the severe withdrawal symptoms from stopping the abused drug of choice. However, it also should only be started, when someone is already in severe withdrawals and other drugs, such as Heroin, should certainly not be used with it.

Trying to do it this way is playing a very dangerous game that could land him in the hospital or even be fatal.

If he didn't get a hit or high from the H he took because the suboxone completely blocked it the he should be ok to take more subutex/suboxone as long as he didnt get any hit from the h but if the H got him high then he will have to wait for withdrawal's again before he take the suboxone. Some people will tell you he has to wait either way but there wrong if no H attached to his receptors then no H will be kicked off his receptors by the suboxone there for no withdrawal the H in his blood stream is inactive so the balls one won't effect it.....only if he got high should he wait ok

I took 2.5 grams of heroin for two months.I have plenty of suboxone so I waited 24 hours and took 2mgs of suboxone waited a hour felt better took another dosr 2mgs. This only made me fifty percent better. So I took another 2.5 mgs of heroin. MY question is I ultimately want to stay on suboxone, but doing the heroin during the induction is it safe to take suboxone tomorrow?

If you took the subs first you should be fine. If u feel high then take a sub too soon it will throw you into an almost immediate withdrawal that is very uncomfortable

My girlfriend has been taking H for about 3-5 months. She took 4mg of a strip at 10am and was still not feeling well after ruffly 3 hrs so she took about 3-4 Mgs again. now it's been about 6 hrs since she's taken the suboxone. if she takes sum H will she feel any effect? Should she be worried about risks? From what I've read so far it's just a waist of money if she takes the H but she and I feel that just by taking the H, it's the action that ur addicted to that will help you mentally.... In which usually will make u feel a little better. Is this just crazy thinking or what? please give me a knowledgable answer. I really appreciate it.

I have been taking H mainlining for about 10 years and found myself without a dealer. I waited until I was really sick to take the Suboxone 8/2 mg. l took 1/2 first then a whole one and another whole about 30 minutes apart. I still felt sick, restless legs, pinpricks on the skin, and took some H (so bad my b/f and I will split a Gram and not get all the way right) when I woke up I felt better than I did last night as did my boyfriend. In the morning we were still a little nauseous and cold and had another G which I felt something a little (but I'm not sure if its H or the sleeping pills as its a fuzzy head feeling that only lasts a second) but afterwards my nausea was gone.

I am wondering if I can still take Suboxone or do I have to start all over.

As I said I felt better but not all the way well (this stuff never gets you all the way straight) but felt better in the morning than I did last night after doing the shot and the one this morning I felt a little fuzzy headed for a second and now just sleepy.

Do I have to start all over with full w/d before I can't take more Suboxone? Anyone know how that works going from subs to H to subs again?

My boyfriend has been worse than me despite doing the same amount. He threw up green then orange after taking 1/2 subs then felt somewhat better after the first dose but nothing on the second and also felt a little better when he woke up but not all the way.

I forgot to mention we also took anti nausea,anti diarrhea and anti anxiety. Same stuff they give you in detox.

I started subs yesterday 16 ml I didn't get any relief, ended up with legs and arms twitching. So like a i**** I had opiates 13 hours later. I have to pick up my next subs. Will it send me into withdrawals? I never felt the opiates I took yesterday at all. It was a waste of money but am worried this is my second does of subs I'm about to take.

Just adding, I picked up the subs and had them in that morning. I never went into withdrawals like I thought I would from having the H the night before. So in my experience from having the first dosers of subs then having H after which I never felt anything, then having the subs the next day, it did not put me back in withdrawal, and 4 weeks later I am still taking the subs and have been clean of H in 4 weeks. Totally changed my life for the better.

Wait! I was on methadone the past 13 years but had to stop recently. Found a dr for suboxone got down to 20 mg methadone last week then last dose was 10 mg. I completely forgot about waiting and took 8 mg early next morning, Within 1/2 hour I thought I was dying! Pain in my stomach and my entire body felt tight. It was so intense for maybe 30 mins until Xanax was able to put me to sleep. Woke up bout 2 hours later and felt fine. Continued 16 mg for 6 months and now starting to ween self off. Good luck!

Good for you, Congrats on getting off methadone. After that length of time MOST fear the taper and Withdrawl process such much they opt. To stay maintained for the duration.Im a drug free counselor at an out-patient facility that uses methadone and suboxone so I realize how difficult this transition can be.Slow and steady and I'm sure you'll beat the suboxone dependence as well. I took less than half a sub (for the1st time) around10am. It's1:00 the following morning n was offered a small amount of H which I don't often take either...mostly pills. Should it work?

Being dope sick is easier than being sub sick. I thought subs would be my cure all to get off dope. I used I prescribed for withdrawal and CYS involvement. But started relying on the drug to cope with anxiety. I go a clinic that I pay out of pocket. They give them like candy if you have the money.... don't get on subs! It's the devils drug !!! I'm detoxing now bc I made a choice that I can't keep spending the money on it.... I feel like hell and it's only been a week clean. And by reading the withdrawals can last months. Just get off dope & stay away from subs. Seriously, I'm really rethinking why I did not check into rehab for this.

You need to have at least 24 hours of no opiates before you start suboxone because subs will put you in withdrawal.

Hell no, you don't keep mixing those meds with the street s***. You're going to kick yourself into some serious precipitated withdrawal. I would wait almost 24 hours before I go into the subs. It's not pleasant to mix. You will be really really sick.
