UpdatedNeed a doctor who prescribes suboxone in Indiana - i am on medicaid.
What is his number to doctor deals office im trying to contact his office dont know how to reach this doctor can someone please give me the phone number?
Any of these docs that take HIP that do not care about marijuana coming up in a drug panel? I recently moved here from Colorado to take care of my elderly mother who has no other family and i can't ask her to move away from the friends she does have. I have been on sub for 2 years for addiction therapy plus chronic pain issues and was also prescribed marijuana for anxiety, appetite stimulation, pain relief, and complications due to hepatitis c. I do not smoke it, nor do i abuse it, but there is no way for a doctor to test whether or not you are abusing. My first doctor acted like he was fine with it until 3 months ago, then he changed his tune. I understand that if insurance covers the visits that they expect certain things and i understand that marijuana is not legal here. So i suppose im asking if a doc that takes cash out of pocket for the appointment, but insurance will cover the meds, would be any more lax about marijuana? I dont use it everyday, just when i need an appetite stimulant, when im having panic attacks, or when my pain levels are high from trying to work. If anyone sees this as not taking my recovery seriously, i understand and respect your perspective, but please understand and respect mine. This medicine keeps me from having to be prescribed benzos or other antidepressant medications that people like myself can become dependent on for my current medical issues. My panic attacks were never worse than when i was on that stuff. I wish i could go back to colorado, but i will not abandoned my mother when she has no one to take care of her, nor the means to bring someone else in to do it, with her current illness. If anyone can help, i would be very grateful! If not and you just want to tell me about myself, please just simply do not respond. I am not here to stir things up or cause drama on the internet. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

@ColoradoConor - i dont know of any Drs who dont mind thc here. Not 100% but I think by law they have to give you a drug panel. But I do know for a fact with me using my state insurance to pay for my meds, my insurance requires drops and drug classes. Not sure if that's the same for cash patients.
@mojo,
I would really appreciate it. This site doesn't want to give any personal information though. {edited for privacy}... oh well. Any info is much appreciated though. Thanks for the hope that i will find one at any rate. Another question... do you think they would be honest with me if when calling and inquiring at different offices i ask about whether or not that would be a problem? Or would they automatically say no?
It's a small office and it's actually just for psych...but addiction is a psych problem. (317) 884-1752 is the number for Dr Deal. Just call and make an appt.
This doctor that don't mind thc? Could you please give me his name. Thanks
If you don't mind could you please give me this doctors name that accepts hip.
Thanks
I just switched to a doctor named Dr. Case off 10th St. not too far from me...I live in Danville, IN. They will tell u by law they have to "tell" you not to smoke but they even took off THC on their panels they send in to be tested. They seem really cool and laid back...for real. And not too expensive. First visit is $240 but after that its $160 a visit and I got HIP so my Rx is paid. He also gives everyone a Rx for narcan just to have around.... "Just in case"
dr deal in indy...his office is almost into greenwood..he takes HIP. hes almost blind and an ass tho...
What's the first visit with Dr case like ? I know it's $240 but what's his process like as far as starting you out and how quickly does he have you come back after the first apt ? Just curious since paying the 240 is that good for a month or what ? Just curious since some sub Drs make you return just under a week after first initial visit . If you could inform me id appreciate it because I'm considering making my first apt this Monday

I was a transfer from another place that couldnt get their stuff together on the authorizing...they do every authorizing right after ur visit..but he will reschedule u if ur new for one wk then reschedule u for two then every four wks is what they told me. I was already on two zubsolv 8.6 a day..so he gave me my two and said come back in two wks then monthly. Its $160 after first visit. He normally does 8s on subs two a day. He said he just started doing basically hormone replacement therapy. He says alot of male addict have low testosterone (low T) so hes now testing and if ur low he gives u a pill to increase ur T. Which im intesrested in bc i go to gym often. They also do weightloss there with the phentermine. But he days he dont let u do both...wish i could get subs and phentermine. Hope that helps...
Look at my posts..i know several docs that prescribe subs..some take HIP some dont..
