Strange Looking Fluoxetine Tablet

I just received these tablets in the mail. I was prescribed to this medication but haven't been able to get back to my doctor to renew. The pills look very different. It is a green tablet with no markings except for a break line on one side. The packet says Fluoxetine IP and Tritin-20. I can't find this on line to give me confidence it is the correct drug that I ordered. Any ideas?

I'm sorry, but without any markings, there's really no way to confirm if they are Fluoxetine, or not.

The best thing to do would be to just set up an appointment with your doctor to get a prescription that you can pick it up at a U.S. pharmacy, so you know what you're getting. Many pharmacies even have it on their $4 lists now, so it's not an expensive medication.

The problem with medications from foreign countries is that even if they are Fluoxetine, they may not be good quality and you may not get the proper dose of the medication, since they aren't monitored and under the regulations of the FDA.

Where did you order them from? Is there a country listed on the packaging?

My Prozac (Fluoxetine) is usually pale yellow and pale green. I've been dispensed pale green ones. Are they the same? Worried.

Hi Anne - can you described any markings on your old and new tablets? Without that information it would be extremely difficult to identify them. Also, any information on the prescription label such as a drug manufacturer and/or drug code?
