Stomach Issues After Gabapentin

Been off Gabby for months now and starting to feel like my old self except still having digestive issues..bloating, small stomach aches that are getting better.. Has anyone else dealt with this problem? Dr. has me taking Zantac and also trying Beano and gas x..just makes me very uncomfortable at times. Hope everyone is doing better.. Thanks

I get that terrible bloated feeling and take just one ginger tablet. They work fast and no side effects. Buy them at any drug store or health food store.

Most medications can irritate the stomach and cause some damage with long-term use and it may take awhile for it to heal, as reported by the FDA.

Are you taking any medications other than what you've mentioned?

Do you watch what you eat? You may need to keep your diet very bland for awhile.

Do you drink alcohol? That's usually something to stay away from, while healing, too.

I do not smoke or drink!! Only other meds are blood pressure that have never bothered me.. Stomach aches have lessoned more still feel bloated some days. I haven't been taking anything for pain at all hoping my stomach can heal and rest. Don't eat many spicy foods diet is pretty normal. Just keep hoping this will go away, the anxiety, nervousness, sleeplessness have all gone away. I heard the higher the dose and length of time on it the longer it takes your body to readjust back to normal. Thanks for the info appreciate it!!
