I am now taking madopar 125mg five times daily, rasagaline 1mg per day, and paramipexole er .375mg per day. The neurologist is about to change me to stalevo (its equivalent) 100-25-200. Will there be a change in dosage for any of the above, specifically, the number of times per day?

Stalevo side effects.i have Parkinson's and recently got a whole host of problems including off scale Dyskinesia and manic behaviour and rigid jaw and tensions in my neck ... these have together caused huge problems and my health has deteriorated. I wonder how to distinguish what is P Disease symptom from side effect or drug interaction. Many of the new problems started after a change from Madopar to Stalevo which went wrong... and proved to be an overdose. It was also done when I was taking rasagaline... Drug interaction rasagaline clonzapam, links to or causes of Serotonin syndrome.

Could the efficacy of the generic carb/entacap tab levo 125mg be different than the brand name Stalevo for treating Parkinson's? It seems that the generic form is not as effective at controlling tremors as Stalevo 125 mg. ## Hi Trisha, Certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand, are actually detrimental to how the drug is metabolized and used by your body. Because everyone is different, your body may agree with one medication over the other, due to how you feel or based on whatever side effects present themselves. When you switch brand names or generics, the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. I have been on Carb/Entacap Tab Levo 150 for apprx 8 - 9 yrs for Parkinsons. Over the past 6 months I am bothered with bladder/kidney infections. Could there be a problem with a side effect of this medication. I also take Ropinirole 3 mg and Benztropine Tab. 0.5 mg. ## Have you been having trouble urinating, when you don't have an infection, like for a period of time before the infection occurs? I have parkinsons, and was put on stalevo for 10 months. I saw my neurologist sept 9th and asked to be put on another drug, as I experienced terrible side effects, basically they were not right for me,as I am of a nervous disposition, I am now on madopar cr x 4 times daily, but not working, started sept 10th I feel no energy cant walk x when i can it is very slowly as madopar are not working, thougts of suicide and because of the change over am experiencing cold turkey and am stressed out by the salevo high bp, and they have quickened my internal shaking etc and am in a terrilbe state, how long do they say in ones sysytem, and I have this rning /paraylisation at the back of my neck, and sometimes it comes out in knots what do I do.Thank-you.
