i am a former MM patient and I can tell you you're wasting your time. When/ if you're ready to get off you'll be twice as sick for twice as long as you wouldve before you started. Ive watched good friends suffer a yr after coming off of a stable dose properly. Youre better off weening yourself off of something small. Dont believe the lies they feed you.

I just abused dilaudid for the first time about 5 minutes ago. I am 28, female, 135 lbs. I had been taking heroine off and on for about two years with many come downs and withdrawals when a concerned friend offered me suboxone. I have been taking that for a few weeks but ran out. I took the last one exactly 52 hours ago. I began to feel the withdrawal from the suboxone last night (about 30 hours after my last sub) and I had a dilaudid that I'd been saving for this kind of occasion. I know that it takes about 72 hours after taking suboxone for a diluadid to have full effect, but I really couldn't wait any longer. Not sure if I'm even going to feel anything, but I'm not dead. But I don't feel any effect yet.

Yes Texas does NOT approve of cannabis, not in it's natural form that is but you needn't avoid pain management to continue. It's not ideal but it works, so if you are in it for the increased appetite and relief of depression (and I think it helps w/pain too), there is a medicinal form called Marinol and insurance will cover it (your doctor would likely have to request coverage for you), but just the severe weight loss should be reason enough. Go to a reputable Pain Mgmt. doctor, they do not judge and will work with you to find the solution that helps you. There are some freaks out there so do your research & if you respond to where you are located, I capsule possibly be of help in recommendations. Check out if you have nerve damage, consult w/a GI, don't stop b/c know one will fight for you better than you will, it's the times we live in. Hang in there, I'm just so sorry you are going thru this & feel you can't turn to pain management. Hope this helps, sending you good wishes and of course LESS PAIN, Brynn

Dearest Breeia,
Please forgive me, to say I've been in a serious decline is a hug understatement my dear friend. My pain is unbearable and spent another 6 weeks in the hospital w/2 additional surgeries that have left me too weak to do much for myself anymore. I feel the end is near, I am really trying but it's hard to keep going when they are doing all they can for me outpatient and I just don't want to be gorked out on IV pain meds in a hospital for even just another day. I'm ready, when the time comes, I will surrender, I've said my goodbyes, the hardest to my children but they need to have a life w/o a mother who is in their den in a rented hospital bed dependent of others for everything. The sad part is, I know everybody is tiring of caring for me and there will be a sense of relief when I pass. That hurts terribly to think about but I'm tired of being bedridden and living a life w/o any quality left. Thank you for sticking by me for so long. You'll never know what your encouragement and support has meant. Thank you my dear, sweet, selfless Breeia and one day we'll meet where there is no pain or disease. I'll try to write, but if I can't please know I am eternally grateful to you and many others for their kindness long the way. I just pray dying doesn't hurt as much as I do now. Love ya lady, Brynn

ive been a addict of opiates for years, it started with vicodin and percocets and over the years it turned into morphine, oxycontin, dilaudids and opana. in my opinion the best pain relief is from the 30mg instant release oxycodone.

Yeah I've been on all the pain meds oxyccontin 40 mg times four a day and 5mg times ten a day,,,,m I'm on 30 mgs times two a day plus four oxy5mgs plus ten dillys a day and I still feel pain, but good pain,,,I've been walking swimming etcs ,,but I've taken both oxy5 times ten,, but the dilaudid was the best for me. You become used to it to fast,,,and this depends on your weight and life style if you are doing it for recreation. if you are prescribed 40 mgs a day never take 5 a day,' your tolerance will be gone in three weeks if you do more.

was taking appox 4mg x 6-8 times a day, for months. suffer extreme pain and am on my way to a bush cabin to detox. NO EASY TASK, WORSE i HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING MORE AND MORE SICKNESS (EG VOMITING DAILY- OFTEN FOR HOURS AT A TIME) SUICIDAL IDEATION NOT THAT UNCOMMON - VERY FREQUUENT ACTUALLY - AND THIS FROM A PERSON WHO HAS BEEN ON HEAVY NARCOTICS FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS NOW. LOSE THE DILAUDID AND -IF ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY - SWITCH TO A SLOW RELEASE PAINKILLER, AS CRUSHING AND SNORTING JUST TOO STUPID. THE SLOW RELEASE VERSION OF OXYCONTIN( OXYNEO) WORKS AWESOMELY, IF YOU NEED TO KILL PAIN. IF YOU JUST WANT TO KILL SOME BRAIN CELLS, HIT YOURSELF REPEATEDLY WITH A HAMMER.

religious people dont need to put there 2 pence in. leave people alone they have no clue what we all go through over opiate based medications - doesnt even know the bible allows all drugs which grow to be used and that must include the poppy so to any religious fool criticizing a drug user please leave the page and go on to one about how christians are the best and the roman catholic church is the force of all good well apart from the rape of children and religion is definitely more dangerous than drugs

I recently have been introduced to them. I'm not an ex addict or anything but enjoy it every now and again. The pill game is one to watch though. I started taking 1-4mg D than the next day had to do 8 to feel it. 2 days later after not doing I had to do 12mg at once. Be careful it can consume you. Every now and again maybe bit don't let it be the first thought you have waking up or end of work. Btw I'm 20 6'1 195 lbs. Have fun in life but be smart.. *common sense (cents lol)*

I have a high tolerance and it takes me 3-4 8mg to achieve pain free. I wouldn't recommend doing more than 1 8mg tops and less unless you have done it before. BE SAFE AND SMART.

Hi Breeia, You are SOOOOO sweet to think of me. I can already tell you are of good integrity b/c that just doesn't happen on these boards, at least not for "good or legal" activity! It would be nice to had a friend to talk to, my hubby gets too sad so I don't talk about my pain or fears or anything that will affect him. We have been married close to 30 years and we are still very much in love and like so I know I am a very lucky lady but I don't think he can deal with what is coming our way so it's nice to have a place to go and receive support. Whether or not we get in touch with each other, your thoughts mean the world to me <3

my x wife used to steal my 80mg oxycontin from me about every freakin day. i bought a nice safe and she freaked out and i had to play doctor to wean her off. be careful cause when its someone you love you will do anything for them and then before you know it your enabling an addict. i wish looking back i would have stopped her way before i did. just another life lesson. i will always have a safe and lock my meds from now on and bolt to the floor. these drugs make people desperate

I'm so sorry ky. I have had my meds stolen from me on a number of occasions. It's horrible. Especially when it's your spouse that put you in that position. My ex used to steal & sell mine routinely. He stole some, not all. I've always made a point of taking just a little less than I'm prescribed, then taking the few left over every month & stashing them somewhere as a "just in case" method, because of my own experiences. I never keep many, but I feel a lot better having a couple of weeks worth on hand for emergencies. You should press charges on the creep. If you've been seeing your dr for a while & have a good reputation with him, I'm betting he would write you some replacement meds. I'm also betting though, that this isn't the first time you've found yourself in this position. If so, your dr isn't going to stretch his neck out but so far for you, particularly if you're not doing anything about it & this is happening often. Ditch him ky. You deserve better.Best of luck to you!

Diacetylmorphine is none other than Heroin. If you are going to take opioids you might be doing your self a favor by knowing what you are taking? Dilaudid is by chemical name dihydromorphinone, a synthetic opioid.
