my freind has an addiction to oxycontin, and now she has dilaudid 4 mg, and she plans on taking it too, b/c one of her freinds said that its like oxycontin and that she would get the same effect. does anyone no if its safe to do so?

The use of tramadol with dilaudid or other opiates is foolish and irresponsible for your Dr to give together. The tramadol will counter act the effects of opiates and in people with habits will and can cause a quick detox. I have taken dilaudid for20 years along with methadone. My Dr told me to Never mix tramadol because it will and can put you into instant detox at the worst and counteract you opiates in the least..be careful....

Hi all, I have been using 8mg Dilaudid Of late. Orally- doesn't do much 4 me however, 2 of them worked well for me. I tend to get a little speedy and mother mouthy? Other wise, it is a similar feeling as 30 mg Oxycodone. My concern is the danger - obviously ANY / ALL narcotics are dangerous - even when taken as prescribed, but is this method MORE dangerous than orally? I have used pain killers and (sub when I'm without ) but have never abused anything before recently.

Someone said the addiction can turn into a full time job,,, hit it right on the head, I spent $25000 in 8 month and had a constuction job making $600 a week and still went thru my saving that revived when my father died ,, if you learn anything from this site it's don't even cross that line.

They always say don't do drugs because once you do you know that there is that option fore the rest of your life if u never try it you will never know how great it feel but how horrible it really is ,,, DONT START you never have to to stop. These Drugs are only good as treated for pain but they help pain to but its only a band-aid than it become your pain

Just wanted to let you know,you can have a tolerance but still overdose. My fiancé passed away three years ago at 26 years old from Percocet. His respiration dropped and he died from insufflating only 2 10mg Percocet . I know I was with him and he overdosed and is no longer here. I pray that you just stop,imagine if someone you loved was gone forever,her father left behind our precious daughter,she'll never have a father because he thought his tolerance was so high he couldn't overdose,wrong. It's wrecked part of my life and definitely his family! Please be safe!

I would like to just pop in and let you all know about a awesome group called narcotics anonymous. Who is and addict? Most of don't have to think twice about this question we know. Please check out a meeting in your area. If we continue in this progressive illnesses the end results are always the same. JAILS INSTITUTIONS OR EVEN DEATH.

I have about 75 8mg dilaudid left from a 150 script. I have been only taking them orally. I have a medical issue that us just getting worse & I jyst want it all to stop. I have ambien & ativan too, plus percocet 10 & 7.5. Seriously just want to be done.

You dont sound like your over it. I went through similar. It still dosent give you the right to look down at anyone. I struggle with addiction and im rich. I have the money to buy a lifetime supply if I want. Your mother dying has nothing to do with why someone else is using. Enough with the violin, we all have stories

what is the safest way to take dilaudids because i have some on their way and i havent touched anything in almost a year..plz put helpful comments n like others have said everyone has the rite to their own choice so plz no raw raw comments on how drugs r bad n blah blah blah..thanks in addition ta this post if yu comment n help me out!

If your not going to answer the question and just tell someone what they already know then take your anti drug using advice and stick it where the sun don't shine. No ones cares what you have to say, everyone knows the dangers of drugs and they don't need another right wing nazi breathing down their neck. So keep it to yourself thanks.

I hope Child services visits you very soon. There are far better ways to manage chronic pain then an addiction to prescription medication. What about marijuana?

u don't want my opinion well to bad dumba** its people like u that kill others by making it sound ok to do s*** like this next time I am at a house explaining to parents that their child just died from a pill overdose I will mention how it is u people promoting the use of prescription drugs that kill kids everyday.... I am not ignorant to addiction I was a heroin addict for 8 yrs everyday I just grew the f*** up and realized how f***in evil that s*** is..... maybe u should grow the f*** up and stop posting absolutely pathetic crap that can cause death .... u my friend r a murderer of innocent minds....

I have dealt with pain for a long time, but can hardly get my doctor to give me codeine even when pain is bad. How the heck do you guys find a doc to get you a proper amount to take.... :-(

SERIOUSLY!!!??? messed up crazy world we live in...it is funny how many of u the pharmaceutical companies have consumed...its even funnier that they have succeeded in turning people into complete morons without even having to try!!! you do realize that is all they want is control over u??? and man they r good!!
unfortunately I have to take these disgusting pills to relieve me of serious pain almost everyday.. I have been on and off of both oxys and D and have never had a hard time stopping when my pain goes away...they make me feel like a zombie its gross....thank god I suppose going by most of the comments on here....
the more addicts the more money but that is not even the highest reason for mass distribution of narcotic pain killers IT IS TO F%@# ur brains so to make u less competent less rich and more loser u see it keeps them sitting on top and leaves all of u bagging and in their eyes useless... GOOD on u for giving ur one life away to the corporate corruptions .... puppets on a string...so sad....

My 26 yr old daughter became ADDICTED TO OXY. FIRST ORALLY, THEN SNORTING THEN SHOOTING. In may she will be gone for a year now. Died from a "unintentional" overdose of oxycotin and liquid morphine. I pass no judgement. She was beautiful, brilliant and sick...an addict. /her daughter will never know her mother, and my heart will never heal. I paint on a smile and simply exist. I hope with all my heart that any of you hurting on this post find at least one person to help you and care. Blessings to all of you.
