Simulated Adderall Or Placebo Adderall

How can I tell if the "Adderall" perscription l am taking is a "placebo" containing something other than Adderall or if it's contents are genuine? I am 60 years old and have been taking adderall XR successfully for several years to stablilize my temperment. We moved to a new area with a new doctor who is skeptical of Adderall. The new perscription just doesn't seem to be working and I suspect he has perscribed a "placebo". Outwardly, the capsule looks genuine.

Check the tiny wording on the orange capsules. If they don't say "Adderall" they are the generic version, which is vastly different in effectiveness. I bet if you check with your druggist, your previous perscriptions were Genuine Adderall, but your new docter is giving you the cheap subsitute. Sadly, this is very common. This is because regulations are so loose in the USA. Your Government says that generic adderall does not have to work the same, it only has to meet a sloppy technical definition, which can vary as much as 40% from the real "Adderall". Generic Adderall simply does not work for many sufferers of ADHD. Under Obama care, who cares?

Well, it isn't the doctor filling the prescription and providing someone with any medication, that would be the pharmacy.

What are the markings on the medication? That is what would enable use to check what it is for you and determine whether or not you are receiving the relevant medication.
