Side Effect From Gabapentin

I have been taking Gabapentin since Feb 2015. I was taking 2 (300 mg) only at bedtime. I have been having mouth soreness and a taste I can not explain, even ice water makes me want to gag. Has anyone had any side effect from taking this, and having a sore mouth, with a nasty taste?

I forgot to add on my previous post, that my Gabapentin was increased to 3 (300 mg) at bedtime April 16th, my mouth soreness got worse, and I have tried the Nystatin swish and swallow twice with no results. Water burns my mouth, this medication is the only new one I have started recently

Yes, according to the detailed side effects provided by the FDA, Gabapentin has been known to cause this, though it's not very common, so you should have it checked out by your doctor to be sure.

Other side effects may possibly include dizziness, headache, weight gain, depression and back pain.

I take 300mg three times a day of gabapentin and find I have thrush on my tough is it worth taking something with so many side effects and will eating plain yogurt help.
