Will Side Effects Of Lyrica Subside

I have a CVS (Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome) condion. I experience alot of pain during a cycle. Lyrica works so far. I have experienced no vomiting or nausea during these days. But the side effects are kicking my butt. Dizziness, blurred vision, hyper, I can't stay seated. Staying up very late. Do these side effects subside or go away after the body get adjusated? I'm wired!
I'm 43 years old and need to relax.

I wanted to talk to the person that has CVS! My son has it too, was wondering how they diagnosed you and how often episodes occur.

I had to see a GI doctor who did a stomach emptying test to rule out gastroparesis, an h. pylori test to rule that out, I had an upper endoscopy years ago otherwise they would do that.
They have to just rule out everything else it could be since there isn’t an actual test for CVS.

As to the Lyrica, yes, usually those side effects taper off, as your body gets used to the medication, but that can take about 4 to 6 weeks. Other side effects may include headache, increased urination, and mood changes.

How are you doing, now? Are you on any other medications?

I recently started taking Gabapentin, which is similar to the Pregabalin in Lyrica, and most side effects disappeared at around 5 weeks in, but I do experience them, again, for a period of time, if we raise my dosage.
