Severe Pain, How Do I Get Stronger Pain Meds From Doctor
UpdatedI have piroformis disease/ sciatica. I've been having problems with my lower back for about a year. Herniated disc L4/L5.
Before the sciatica, I went to the ortho and he gave me tramadol which did nothing... So my primary doctor gave me hydro 7.5 #20 as needed since I was in a second car accident (back pains started from first accident)... The night of the doctor visit is when the sciatic nerve started to cause pain. I went to the ER because I have sharp pains in both buttocks, and all down my left leg. Both feet are numb and I can not move my toes. I went to the ER. They gave me a shot of morphine, which knocked down my pain level from a 10 to a 3. They prescribed me Tylenol w/ codiene 300-60mg. I haven't got it filled because it's a Sunday. When I go back to the doctor tomorrow I need to get stronger meds... How do I get stronger medicine without looking like I'm trying to just get a high? I literally can't walk without a walker... I have appointments set up with a back specialist and PT... But I need something right away... I'm so tired of staying in bed and being dependent on others.
