However, for any future students seeking such educational information, Septrim is an antibiotic, which contains the active ingredients Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim.
In 2012 and into 2013, it is the preferred antibiotic to treat infections of MRSA.
However, it is a sulfa based antibiotic, so it may cause some problematic side effects, such as nausea, skin rash, diarrhea and dehydration.
