Redened Cheeks
UpdatedAfter taking first dose of Bystolic 20 mg., 15 hours later had red cheeks lasting all day, no discomfort or other symptoms. Had been taken off of high dose of metoprolol, so put on high dose of Bystolic. Called Pharmacy, They advised me not to stop med.

Hi Sue,
I'm not finding any information listing "reddened cheeks" as a side effect. I did read that some people may experience an allergic reaction that causes the blood vessels to swell, maybe you are having an allergic reaction of some sort? If it becomes really bothersome or you start to experience any other symptoms, I would definitely make an appointment with your doctor.
You can learn more about this drug on the page for Bystolic Details
I hope this helps!
The redness on the cheeks finally disapeared 24 hours later and has not returned. Thanks for the reply.
