Question Please

I was put on Xarelto for 6 months because of a PE. My problem is that I gained 25 lbs, I have been off of it for over 5 months and still can.not.lose the weight and also I bruise so easy, makes me think it's still in my blood???

Hello, Melissa! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you're having.

Those can be normal side effects of Xarelto, as listed by the FDA, along with nausea, dizziness and headache. However, they usually go away, after the medication is discontinued.

Are you on any other medications?

Have you consulted your doctor? You should definitely have the bruising checked out for your own safety.

Thank you for replying. No I am not on any other meds. I did have labs checked and it showed my vitamin D was very low, I was put on 50, 000 units for a couple months. .really have not noticed a difference. I going to set up an appt for a physical. Thanks again
