Prolia Side Effects (Page 6)

I would like to know of any side effects others may have experienced after receiving Prolia infusions. Up to now I have none.
Re: Gloria (# 3058)
Have not had a shot for over 2 years.. am experiencing really intense bone pain.. legs, feet, hips.. mostly on one side of the body... I don't know if Prolia would wait this long to attack.... it is not arthritis ; it is liked muscle cramps but not in the muscles and is prolonged...occurs with no warning or an identifiable trigger...
As I have stated many times, it is the worst drug I have ever had. Did not know all of the horrible side effects before tolerating 7 injections. They almost killed me. Still suffering with pain that may never go away. Permanent damage to muscles and joints. Poison is what I refer to the drug Prolia! Beware and research before you take Prolia. Regret that I did not know.
Re: Darcy (# 3050)
Really true a bout the lack of energy to organize and seek some kind of truthful statements concerning this drug. A great day now means being able to drag through normal tasks.

Hi,
I was wondering about the swollen breasts you mentioned. I know this post was from a few years ago but I hope you or anyone else can offer suggestions.
I recently had a mammogram and a bone density test. I've been taking 20,000 IU of D3 and that seems to be helping but the mammogram has me worried. I've only had one incident about 8 years ago and it was fatty tissue after closer examination.
I'm praying this is all it is again, but I hadn't had Prolia then either. Has anyone had any issues with their breasts after taking Prolia? If the town where my doctor is located isn't flooded by Tropical Storm Beta I'll be seeing him on Wednesday.
It's been hard not to worry. Last month I finished my five months of iron injections for low iron. (7.5 was the number and I felt terrible.)
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or information you can give. I appreciate the opportunity to ask questions and share information in hope of helping ease someone else's suffering.
Hugs,
Nikki

Thanks for posting the info about eyes and facial bones. I have begun to experience those same things but did not think about Prolia. I stopped the shot about 2 years ago but still deal with the hair loss, bone pain and rashes. I am scheduling an eye doc appointment after reading your post... thank you.
Re: Gloria (# 3053)
Gloria just told my story! I too wish I had done research, but I foolishly allowed myself to be frightened into it . To anyone considering this drug, my advise is DO NOT ! Instead check out sights like Save Our Bones and THe Better No es Blog where you will receive information about diet and exercise, plus updated on what Big Pharma is doing.
Re: Verwon (# 1)
The worst drug I have ever taken, I suffered and am still suffering from most of the horrible side-effects of this drug. It was poison for me! Reported it to the FDA to no avail, I wish I had done research before ever taking the first shot. Horrible drug for me and the reviews online tell me I am not the only one who is suffering after taking this drug. Hope this helps others not to have to suffer as I am suffering.
Re: Kazz (# 3047)
So thank you to those for providing me the information about Actonel. After considering it, I
will pass; it is s Biophosphenate after all. I lost four years of my life to Prolia, I won’t risk that again. Now that finally I can exercise, I am doing that, plus, continuing my food plan.
Re: JenjiOz (# 3049)
I am so sorry, how horrible for you ! I ed ish you better health.
Re: JenjiOz (# 3049)
Oh my God you poor thing. I had two shots of Protea as well 2 1/2 years ago. I had basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma on my right arm requiring Mohs surgery. A hollow on your eye must be horrifying and I think you are right that this may be the tip of the iceberg. I know that when something is odd about me my first thought now is ~ is it caused by the Prolia use? Amgen is still making this drug under another name I believe. There are enough women who have taken this drug we are we should all band together as much as we can and sue the s*** out of them collectively. Due to the various ravages of Prolia use many of us just don’t have the energy. Stay strong Jenji, eat well, be good to yourself.
I'm still experiencing itching in my facial bones, especially around my eye sockets and eyebrow ridges, almost 3 years after my second and final injection of Prolia.
My inner right eye socket has sunken very noticeably, beginning back then but increasing since.
I had a basal cell carcinoma (my first and only) removed from the same inner corner of my right eye soon after I first noticed the hollow developing.
Has anyone else experienced a similar phenomenon after commencing Prolia?
It seems really sinister to me.
I am very aware that the things we see and feel may just be the tip of the iceberg.

That's a good tip. Perhaps I can avoid my weekly headache by drinking more water on Sundays. Otherwise I've had no problems with Actonel.
Re: Darcy (# 3032)
So far Ive been ok on actonel slow release weekly tabs ...just have to drink lots of water...on the day you take it

Re: JenjiOz (# 3042)
Thank you. I will consider it, but I am very sensitive to drugs.
Mine were terrible side effects. They didn't start til after about 3 weeks...then I got headaches...ear infections (wasn't aware that Prolia lowers your immune system)...uti's....strange taste in my mouth...numb lips and dryness of lips and skin. Hip pain. Got lots of tooth decay at gum line...bruising for no reason...would not wish Prolia on my worst enemy....Should be banned.
Re: Sal (# 3041)
I sometimes have a headache for a few hours on the day that I take it. That's it!
Such a contrast with the horrors of Prolia, at least for me.
Re: JenjiOz (# 3039)
Same here did not connect the dots so went and had a 2nd shot only to get all my side effects back plus more.....off it now taking actonel ec as a relay drug to stop the spontaneous vertibrae fractures
