I would like to know of any side effects others may have experienced after receiving Prolia infusions. Up to now I have none.

Re: Sherry (# 2538) Expand Referenced Message

Bone and muscle pain, joint pain and swelling, fractures to name a few.
Musculoskeletal pain is nothing new for me, but this was worse than anything I have ever experienced. For a time, I had Hypocalcemia and hyperthyroidism. Also had skin rashes and fatigue to name a few more. I quit after the second shot.
Oh, and I gained 18 pounds, probably because my body was so inflamed. Some of my joints are permanently disfigured.

Re: Giralda (# 2527) Expand Referenced Message

Look at Prolia.com. Amgen, the manufacturer of Prolia has a site up for just Prolia and this year has totally revised Amgen's home page. You will see on the Prolia.com that it is NOT advised for people like you. Read thru the side effects they admit to and the precautionary info and you will find it in there. You probably will have to show it to your Rx'ing Dr. to make that person aware. Be well~

Re: Poodle (# 2533) Expand Referenced Message

Thanks, Poodle for all of the information you provide.

I am a retired nurse who would love to be a holistic practioner, but at this point on my life and with all my health issues that isn't going to happen. I am content to be a patient of holistic practioner.

I too believe I have a mission to spread the word not only about Prolia, but all of these toxic Osteo drugs.

Thanks again.

Hi. I have a degree in Science. I have zero to do with any website monitoring on MedsChat. They have their own moderator. I also have a private practice in holistic medicine. My only purpose here is to help those that have come after me with Prolia. People have huge problems with Prolia and they need to know the truth - it's not all in their heads as some medical professionals want us to believe. They are REAL and DANGEROUS side effects from Prolia. I don't mind in the least that you ask. I have worked and studied very long to be where I am today. Be well~

Re: Poodle (# 2531) Expand Referenced Message

I came to this site a short time ago and appreciate all of the time you put into responding and sharing your knowledge. If it is not too personal, I would like to know if you are a medical person (dr, nurse, biologist, holistic med, etc) or if you have gleaned your knowledge from experience and individual research? Are you similar to a website manager or are just able and willing to provide ongoing support for all of us? Thanks.

Re: Poodle (# 2526) Expand Referenced Message

Let me add to this since I got a negative comment here about CBD oil. It can only do a little to help us. There is another product that is made from leaves of very certain trees in Indonesia and Thailand and surrounding areas. It's called red bali. It has to be started in small doses of 1/4 teaspoon until you can reach your full dose. It acts on the human brain just like an opioid does but you cannot OD on it nor will you get addicted to it. When you reach your max dose it acts just like a real opioid on our brains and gives us total relief from all pain. It's legal in every State in the US except 4 - Wisconsin, Vermont, Mississippi and I think maybe Missouri from looking at a map. You may already have a vendor for it where you live if you have a shop that carries a lot of vitamins and natural remedies. It's also a heck of a lot cheaper than a good CBD oil which runs about $130 a bottle while the red bali is only $9/bag and there is a lot in that bag. I would rather have really great pain relief with Prolia than an expensive mediocre one. It's also available to purchase on the net for the same price of $9/bag. Get it soon before the Feds figure out we have something really fantastic here and they make it illegal in ALL States. Australia - I don't know about your ruling on this. You would have to check for yourselves. I went straight on it from Oxycodone 10mg. My brain thinks it has the real pill and it's just a legal non-Rx substitute that cannot harm me. I am not having the nasty side effects of Oxycodone tho. There are dosing instructions with it as compared to morphine. Just make sure you start small and slowly build up to the full dose. The red bali does have to be mixed with orange juice or chocolate milk because it is very bitter. Okay Ladies. Now you know the truth about my remarks. Be well~

Your thyroid would rule it out. It has a huge effect on the thyroid glands. Now you know you are safe from Prolia. Be well~

Re: Diana (# 2528) Expand Referenced Message

Good grief! I sure hope it is not gonna be a broken femur. Back problems can show up in the hip from a pinched nerve between the 1-2 or 2-3 vertebrae. The Rheumatologist gives it an injection of Pred. and that pretty much ends that HOPEFULLY!!!!!

Re: Poodle (# 2526) Expand Referenced Message

Going to see if I can locate this. Having another flare of the hip pain from the shot - - it rose up so quickly after the first injection - - thought it was conquered. I can hardly walk!

I am looking for dialysis patients who have osteoporosis and who have been prescribed Prolia from the nephrologist. What are the side effects?

My nephrologist wants to prescribe me Prolia for my osteoporosis. I also have anemia, high blood pressure and use thyrax for my slow thyroid gland.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Lizzie (# 2513) Expand Referenced Message

There is something much better than the oil. It's legal in the USA in all but 4 States. It's made from tree leaves in Malasia, Thailand and countries in those area. It acts exactly like a high powered opioid but we cannot OD on it and it cannot cause us harm. It has zero to do with the hemp plant. It's far, far superior. Also wonderful for anxiety. Just be careful when starting it and only take 1/4 teaspoon until your body gets adjusted to it and from there you can go to where you need to be for total pain relief. I started it yesterday. Slept 10 whole hours which was a wonder. First time in years on end. You can also take it to quit an opioid since it's herbal and needs no Rx. Be well~

Re: Gloria (# 2524) Expand Referenced Message

I would be shocked if that ever happened, there is a LOT of money to be made.

I have made myself an ambassador to spread the word about the horrible drug and its toxicity. I will tell anyone who will listen. Instead, I urge a more natural approach.

Prolia is a nightmare. It changed my life and my ability to physically move, has almost disabled me. HORRIBLE DRUG, POISON, hope there is a class action law suit soon. FDA take it off the market/

Re: Poodle (# 2519) Expand Referenced Message

Poodle,it was't necrosis I had.My immune system became compromised and I developed an infection in my tooth. Even though my dentist put me on antibiotics which helped but the tooth was so weakened and decay had eaten away to the point that the tooth became loose and eventually the only answer was to pull it. By the way I also had sores in my mouth that didn't respond to any drugs I was given....just more side effects from them. Still have the mouth problem and can no longer eat anything spicy , but that's another story that I am plagued with. I couldn't have the bone graft and implant done at the same time as there was too much bone loss. The oral surgeon had hoped she could but it wasn't feasible .so...I wait! I had been worried about my jaw as I have had 2 surgeries on it due to TMJ and had voiced my concerns to the MD who prescribed Prolia and she reassured me that any side effects were very rare! Guess she was wrong!!!
Yes all of this is very costly which insurance doesn't cover but I consider myself lucky that, at least, we can afford it. I have 2 excellent dentists here inToronto who I trust implicitly and who have shown great compassion for what I've dealt with having taken this drug, Prolia.

I know for sure 'PROLIA 'is the cause. get any Dr to listen to you. they do not want to know or be involved in this fight over this poisonous drug.for shame !!!!! .

Gloria (# 2519) --

And Amgen claims that side affects are ronly rare ! Of course they also claim that these are not side affects. A pretty big coincidence !

The side effects of Prolia are horrible, I know, had my last one in 2015 and am still suffering from it. It is a horrible drug, poison, should be taken off the market.
